Have some building questions

Hey all. I just have a couple building questions. Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not...

First, how can I change the roof pitch on my houses. I hate how high they go automatically and the premade Maxim homes don't have roofs that high so I know there must be a way for me to change it.

Also, can anyone give me a good site for building tutorials? I know I saw one somewhere one time on how to make a basement, but now I can't remember where I saw it.

i think there might be a cheat or something but i don't know it. search for it on google.

To lower the roof pitch of your house use this cheat in the cheat window:
roofslopeangle [15-75] or individualRoofSlopeAngle [15-75] - chose which number you want the pitch to be.
