Help?

A while ago i had been playing sims with no problems, then all of a sudden
it kept freezing on the start up screen or the neighborhood screen.
I tried many times and it froze everytime. So i have to press ctrl
alt delete to get out of the game. I uninstalled and reinstalled the
game and all the exspansion packs and it still doesnt work. I dont
think it is my downloads because even when i take my downloads
out it still doesnt work.
Can anyone help? =/

I hate to say it, but I think it's a time to buy a new computer, with more RAM and more space. If you have at least 3 EPs, you need 2 Giga RAM, DirectX last version, and more powerful "engine".

If you already have it - the only one culprit I can think of is - Securom...for some computers, it's "Jack the Ripper".... Luckily, my computer stands on the "right side of the needle", without much problems, but only restarting before game.

Well I just got a new laptop and it has 2.00 GB..
Whatever that means.. LOL
Is that enough? O_o
Cause i have 7 EPs but only 5 installed right now..
Maybe i should take some EPs out or something?
I dont know.. >.<

- Did you try installing the EPs in the order they were released?
- Have you tried defragmenting your computer, scanning for viruses and trojans, general maintennce like that?

If it IS SecuROM giving trouble, it might be worth getting the uninstaller for it, then getting a fixed EXE to run your game without the disc (it installs again when you use the disc)

It freezes sometimes, but atleast i can actually get into the game!
