Custom hair isnt working

I had downloaded one mesh that worked right away from this site. it was the long hair mesh. Now i tried a few others and none of them work. How do i get the ones i like to work? This is uploading custom content to my sims life stories. FYI.

The mesh isn't included in the recolour set.
Did you look for the mesh @ Peggyzone? I'm looking now so I'll post the link here.
