Can't Find or Delete a Hack
Tenshii~Akari:
 Huh... well, try searching for any of these files pictured:
That might help. Seeing as you only have each EP until Pets and no SPs, I'd suggest (if you find them anywhere) kicking out the CEP-EXTRA_AtomicAgeLamps, CEP-EXTRA_CountryToilet, CEP-EXTRA_GardenRocks, and I think the CEP-EXTRA_MilanoDiningTable and CEP-EXTRA_LuxuryStereo files.

Hehe, I really should update that list, I ave seasons and Apartment life, but thats not important. I do recognize some of those though, I'll go have a look thanks!
Edit: OMG, I found them! Thank you so much Tenshii you are the best!!
Tenshii~Akari:
Ah... Okay. Then you can leave the "Garden Rocks" and "Country Toilet" ones be. Those should work fine. It's most likely some of the others. (as those were my problem files exactly, since I have up to Seasons, No Pets, No SPs. ;))
And you're welcome. :smile bi:
DarkAmaranth:
If you have all of the EPs then just leave them, they are fine, all they do is allow for custom recolors of the said Maxis objects. Obviously, if you don't have some of those items, then remove the pieces for EPs you don't have.

I have a mac, so what I say may not apply. However, I was having weird crashes, when I was trying to load the 'buy" menu stuff. My son sorted things out by taking the CEP-EXTRA_GardenRocks out of the cep folder for me. I had, at that time, sims 2, university, open for business, pets, nightlife, and seasons. It crashed as well, when I reloaded and added bon voyage. So I took the rocks out, and things have been fine.
All so I read somewhere, today, that you may have to reinstall the cep, to make it work right with apartment life. Others say take it out, until Numenor updates it. Try taking out the rocks.
To install the cep on a mac, you have to do it by hand...or whatever... Here is where the folders are on the mac:
You will probably find them in windows in my documents and program files:
To quote:
"Extra" folder:
Open it and you will find 2 subfolders, "MyDocuments" and "ProgramFiles".
c1) Open the "MyDocuments" folder and move the entire "zCEP-EXTRA" subfolder, along with the several files contained in it, in:
HOME (the icon with the little house) -> DOCUMENTS -> EA Games -> Sims "
and
"NOTE: *DO NOT* put the "zCEP-EXTRA" folder into the Downloads. It goes into the "Sims 2" root folder!
c2) Open the "ProgramFiles" folder and move the entire "zCEP-EXTRA" subfolder, along with the several files contained in it, in:
MAIN DRIVE -> THE SIMS 2 -> TSDATA -> RES -> CATALOG"
