rwills Trepie's way is better with the alt tab way you can't see your taskbar and also it hangs for the minimizing and maximizing. You should try it, you won't look back :)

Thanks, but have been well aware of it for ages and have provided detailed  instructions for Windowed mode here before. Just didn't want to repeat the info yet also offer an alternative should someone want it
