I think the only thing we can do for now until Kathy and Eric finds a way to block spam is to report them as they appear and as soon as you see a spam bot make sure to hit the  report post button the little triangle with this symbol ! that way we help the administrator and moderators delete the spam  bots. as soon as they appear

I think you're right. I was in my younger days a submarine sailor, so it is not likely that I will see or read anything that I've not likely seen or read worse. However, I don't think there is any effective way to block all of it. The kinds of sleaze that will put something up on a site where young people visit is not likely to have a lot of scruples rattling around in their brains.

I found posts from July that were never reported. Everything from spam to outright rudeness. This forum is HUGE and really we depend on each other to make it a pleasant atmosphere for all. There's no way I can click on every thread all day long. If something offends you (and really this should be for any site you are on) then click the report button. The moderator will check it out and make the call. I don't see what the big deal is about it.

I still hope that he comes back to clarify exactly where it is, even if it's to say it's not on InSIM (which is my guess) so I don't have to click through a bunch of downloads tonight.

Ugh. You lot have enough to do without have to worry about seeking out porn and porm. Sometimes I am on at freaky times of day and there are no mods on but the porn is there. All we can do is report it and rest assured the mods will take care of it when they log on. Ya do what ya can, y'know?

To tell ya the truth Trepie, I wasn't really sure what the original post was trying to say. I think a lot of us got really confused over that one.

Alive, are you talking about something you downloaded here? If so, please just report the thread in question so we can deal with it, instead of creating a drama fest like this. If it's something over on the adult site, then this really should be addressed there and not here., and in the same manner I suggested (report the post).  Either way, this is really rather vague, and since none of us are psychic (psycho, maybe, but not psychic), there's not a thing we can do without more information.

Guys to clairify he is talking about files he downloaded for his game that he finds disgusting.

If you frequent the Sims 2 official site and download files there you are bound to receive some rather nasty downloads so I would recommend using clean installer to weed out any potentially offensive content. Also if you can pm me with a description of the files I will try to figure out if they came from here. But with anything if you see an upload that you think is questionable than please report it or message one of the admins directly and we will look at it.

Also side note.. guys the spam.. yeah please just keep reporting. I will be upgrading the software again soon and looking for new options for dealing with it but these screw balls seem to be attracted to vbulletin. Please keep in mind not all spam looks like spam either.. it may simply look like some insane post like... Hi I like cheese. Report that and we will take a look at it.
