LOUNGE- 10:05 AM

By now, the Reverend Victor Green had made his arrival to Tudor Close after finishing up his sermon prepared for the next day. Mrs. Peacock was chatting with him in the Lounge.

"Reverend," She said in pleasant voice, "How has your morning been?"

"Well, I confess I've been having little bit of a mental hurdle to get over in terms of writing my sermon. Sometimes, the ideas just don't flow like they usually do." Green admitted, "Considering how inspiring God is, He doesn't always leave much in the idea well. He he."

"Oh come now," Mrs. Peacock chuckled, "Oh yes, I wanted to tell you something..."

"What would that be Ethylene?"

Peacock paused for a moment.

"What would you say to the idea of a wedding in the near future?" She suggested.

"Oh?" Green replied a little surprised, "You wish to be married? Most happy news indeed! We've haven't had such a pleasant event in the village for quite a while. Who would the lucky intended one be?"

Mrs. Peacock gave a little smile.

"He's sitting right over there..."

Sure enough, Prof. Corundum was present in the room, along with Colonel Mustard and Mr. Slate-Grey.

"Say Professor, I had something on my mind..." Mr. Slate-Grey suddenly spoke, "You wouldn't happened to have a nephew...would you?"

"A nephew?" Prof. Corundum replied, "I certainly have many. Which one would you be referring to, my boy?"

Slate-Grey paused for a moment.

"His name is Abhilash," He replied, "He's around my age. Very kind and very handsome..."

Suddenly, the usually kind face of Corundum suddenly clouded over a little...

"Oh yes...." He muttered, "That nephew..."

"How would you know about the professor's nephew?" Col. Mustard asked suspiciously.

"Oh I sure young Andrew here has been to India on an occasion or two," Corundum replied, "Who wouldn't want to go? It's a wonderful place with wonderful people. If it's not the people, it's the wild animals that would attract a crowd..."

He then bent a little lower to Colonel Mustard.

"Especially your crowd..."

Mustard didn't say a word. Suddenly, he knew what he had to do....

LIBRARY- 11:00 AM

When Prof. Corundum stumbled into the Library, the first thing he noticed was the painting Mr. Slate-Grey did of Miss Scarlet. The face was unmistakably familiar to him. The features had been forever sealed in his mind. The only thing about it was the shock of seeing her face, right here.

"So she's been here then..." He mumbled to himself, "After all this time..."

Professor Plum walking pass the open door, happened to notice Prof. Corundum standing in the Library. Taking no second thought, he immediately entered....

"You!" He cried.

Prof. Corundum spun around in shock.

"P..Professor Plum, what a pleasant surprise?" He stuttered back.

"Don't kid with me, sir!" Plum bellowed, "I know exactly who you are! Why did you do it? Why did you steal my ideas three years ago?"

Professor Corundum tried not to lose his composure.

"Professor Plum, I was waiting for you to remember..." He said, "And I want to apologize for the misunderstanding we had..."

"M..Misunderstanding?" Plum muffled, "What?"

"Yes, of course, you never remembered when that day happened..." Corundum continued, "You were a student of mine on an expedition and one day, you dropped a horrible substance of...uh...chlorine which simply put you into a terrible state. You were experiencing things that never happened and unfortunately you had to be sent back. It was quite unfortunate. However, you had been quite enthralled with the paper I wrote on the research conducting. You must have been led to believe that it was your own idea when your were in that terrible state!"

"I did?" Professor Plum said, "I'm so sorry, I..I...never realize professor.."

Prof. Corundum smiled.

"It's alright," He said, "It's just damned fortunate that you made it through and that we had the chance to see you again..."

With that he left the Library leaving Prof. Plum alone as he contemplated what Corundum just said. Suddenly the truth sunk in when he realized...he'd been duped.

"HORSEPUCKEY!" Plum cried.

He panted a little and gulped as he scanned the room. He needed something....he needed....the Lead Pipe!

He grabbed a piece of Lead Pipe that was on the table.

"Just see how that old coot likes it when I show him my thesis on a proper lead enema!"

BALLROOM- 12:02 PM

"What is that peculiar tune your playing, Antoinette?" Reverend Green asked curiously as he entered the Ballroom.

Presently, Madame Rose was strumming a rather odd tune on the contrabass. It's melody was eerie, and melancholy. Rev. Green couldn't make heads or tales of it.

"Oh, it'z a very oooold tune," Madame Rose explained, "A very sacred one as well. Originally performed on lute."

"I see," Green replied, "Where did you learn it?"

"India," She replied, "Oh....I'm afraid I must confide in you Reverund..."

Green's eyes widened. Madame Rose never confessed anything to him. She never went to church either. She always spent her Sundays in her room.

"Please, do tell," He replied, "Afterall, I'm always here for spiritual guidance..."

Madame Rose cleared her throat.

"Many moons ago, when Mr. Peacock met his tragic end," She began, "I moved to India to find my inner self. Instead...I found a cult. They took me into their cult....treated me like their own. Soon, they discovered I had many great potential powers....thus....they wished for me to lead their weekly sacrifice one day. The man I choose to sacrifice was foooolish con man who was out exploring the jungle. We caught the man...tied him up....and prepared to take his heart! Ha ha! However, the man distracted me for a moment and got out of his ropes. For my mistake, I was banished, never to return. The man's name....Professor Bipin Corundum!"

Green gasped.

"Antoinette, you didn't!" He exclaimed, "Oh what a dreadful man..er...thought."

"Tonight, I shall finish what I started," She declared, "Before he recognizes me, or his ropes...."

Her eyes turned towards a coil of Rope on the floor. Green bent down to pick it up.

"You dislike this man as well, Reverund," Rose noted, "I can sense so..."

Green was taken aback.

"I do not!" He protested, "I haven't a hatred for any soul!"

"It's no use lying Reverund...," Rose insisted, ""There's no use hiding the facts. For tonight, the professor will discover that his so-called knowledge...will prove quite....deadly..."

STUDY- 8:20 PM

Sure enough, the evening came faster than expected, in fact, Prof. Corundum even managed to stay around for dinner. To him, it appeared he a oblivious to the animosity that was occurring around him. He was quite acute and assured. Never any danger; never. Afterall why should there? He was quite safe in a dignified house filled with more or less dignified people. Why would he ever dream of leaving such a mind-stimulating environment?

Of course, first place he went after dinner was to Mrs. Peacock's Study. When he entered however, he was quite surprised to see Mr. Slate-Grey sitting down in the room.

"Oh, what are you doing in here?" Prof. Corundum asked softly.

"I just came in to have a little rest," Slate-Grey replied, "Mrs. Peacock doesn't mind in the slightest."

Prof. Corundum cleared his throat.

"Well, that alright then I suppose," He admitted, "At any rate, I've just popped in to fetch Ethyl's bo..."

In a split second, he suddenly noticed the book was no longer on the desk.

"Oh," He suddenly declared, "It seems somebody has taken Ethyl's book..."

"You mean the book burning in the fireplace?" Slate-Grey suddenly piped up.

"Whaaat did you say?" Corundum suddenly whimpered, no longer the calm old man he usually was.

"Yes...." Slate-Grey replied back innocently, "It appears there's a nice pink book burning away as we speak..."

Corundum's face turned red like a ruby.

"But...who...why...?" He stuttered, his voice loosing it's calm British charm to something more foreign and fierce, "I bet you had something to do with this young man! Your that trouble maker who had the indecency to defile my nephew with sodomy! Don't think I didn't remember! At least I had the dignity to hold my tougue during tonight's dinner. I bet you burned my book to get back at me for restraining my nephew from further misconduct....!"

Slate-Grey got up from the couch and snatched a silver Pistol from Mrs. Peacock's desk and pointed at him.

"You shut up, old man!" Slate-Grey demanded, "You knew NOTHING about us!"

But by then, Corundum was already leaving, slamming the door behind him. Prof. Plum suddenly popped out from behind the corner.

"Easy now, Drew," Plum said, "Thanks for taking the wrap. I needed some way to get back at that rotten termite! I just couldn't face him again..."

"Well," Slate-Grey replied, "Now it's your turn to come in on the deal...."

Plum sighed.

"Oh....very well," He said as he took off his jacket, "Let me just set this down..."

Slate-Grey looked at the Lead Pipe and snickered.

"Oh, you can hold on to that..."

LAVATORY- 9:30 PM

Reverend Green stood in the Lavatory; his hands shaking. They shook so much that he dropped the Rope that he was twisting in his fingers, onto the Lavatory floor. Trying to compose himself, he stared outside the single window hoping to take his mind off the past....but it was easier said than done.

"There I've gone again, lying to Madame Rose this afternoon, for Pete's Sake!" He rebuked himself in his mind, "Of course, I do hate the man. A liar and a fraud. That's all he ever was! And I was....so gullible to believe he was aiding the wildlife.......why did I? Why? Why God, have you send him back here?"
