Phone Line Controller

After I installed Apartment Life, any lot that was created before EP8 goes into an infinite loop unless I turn testingcheats on and delete the phone line. When I build a new lot from scratch I do have this issue. I think it has something to do with saved data. Answering phones also resets the sim, and I can not "manage groups" anymore, it only takes me straight to the call sim options.

Anyone else have this annoying issue? What was your solution?

It sounds like you are using a phone hack that isn't compatible with AL.

I don't remember downloading phone hacks. I used Clean Installer to search for hacks, and none apply to the phone line. I did see a few labeled as "careers" and with a hyphen in their name description. I figured these were the culprit, but no luck.

If you can locate the latest error log located in the folder My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Logs & attach it to you reply I may be able to help you. It will have a name like "ObjectError_E001_t5527.txt"

Can one find the file name of the culprit in the error logs? I've wondering about this possibility for a while.
