Not waterproof,am I screwed?

Yes.  You can do SimSurgery on her with SimPE and Theo's plugin.  (Backup before performing this operation, naturally!)

You could also get an opaque shower so you don't have to see her change sizes when she's naked.

It's really easy to make a linked skintone.

1. Open Bodyshop and find a skintone that is linked to the mesh you want
2. Start a new project with it and name it something like "LinkedMeshUseMe"
3. Start a new project with the skintone she has now and name it like "Textures"
4. Go to the Project Folder, and copy all the .bmp files from "Textures" into "LinkedMeshUseMe"
5. Extract ""LinkedMeshUseMe" to the game
6. You're done!

7. Now all you have to do is create a sim in the game with the new skintone
8. Exit the game and start up SimPe
9. Give her sim surgery and change her skintone to be the same as the new sim you made
