I only started downloading CC after I got AL because I never knew how to do it before that [my fiance had to spend ages reading through Sims guides to teach me how to do it *blush*], so I don't think it can be older hacks as I don't think I have any...

Edit:// I'm thinking that this should have been posted in the general section as opposed to the AL section, my apologies, I didn't see the general section till much later.

Ahh brilliant, thank you! Smiley Tad confused though, how does it work? I read the instructions but I don't think my brain is processing them very well!
80  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: I'm I the only one who would rather just keep playing sims 2. on: June 07, 2009, 06:57:27 am
I feel a tad ripped off, it's not as good as I thought it would be.

I feel so bad about it though, because my fiance spent £53 on it for me and I can't get into playing it [believe me, i'm trying], and we don't have much money as it is. He really pushed the boat out in buying it for me because I was spazzing about it, and now I feel really, really guilty Sad
81  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Won't Load Lots on: June 07, 2009, 06:46:53 am
I was having this problem where I would create a sim [Daton Cooke], then go to put him in a house. Well, the lot wouldn't open - at all. I had to go out of the game, close it and start again.

I found that Daton Cooke had been moved in, so I went to play with him thinking it was a one time thing, and then encountered several problems on the lot itself, such as freezing etc.

I tested lots of different lots and none of them would work. So, I found the Game Help FAQ from SimWiki, because I feel rude asking for help if I haven't even attempted to solve the problem myself. I tested to see if it was game files, it wasn't, everything was fine [I recreated the exact same situation every time].

So, I tried custom content, and yes, it was that. I took all of the game hacks that i'd downloaded from the 4th of June onwards [because I knew the problem had started on or around the 5th of June] and put them in their own folder on my desktop. Without these hacks, the game worked fine, and there were exactly 30 of them.

I decided upon a process of elimination - I took all the ones on the left hand side, 15 of them, and added them to the downloads folder. The problem happened, so it meant the problem hack was on the left. I split them into two sections, the top 8 and the bottom 7. I took the bottom 7 out of the downloads folder and the problem still persisted, meaning it was one of the top 8.

Anyway, you see where i'm going with this. Out of a process of elimination it seemed the problem was the sleeping naps mod. I thought everything was fine so went and downloaded clothes and more this morning, including a neighbourhood. But, when I went to play The Sims 2 again, the problem was there!

So, surely, it must be something i'd added. Only, my Delphy Downloads Organiser isn't showing that I installed any content from today, the 7th of June, even though I have -_-. So now I don't know what to do - I deleted the neighbourhood but the problem is still there. I really don't know what to do anymore because the Delphy organiser won't help me.

I've only downloaded clothes this morning, besides the neighbourhood - but I deleted all of that! So, really, what is going on?

Any advice, please? Thank you in advance, much appreciated!

Edit:// I'm thinking that this should have been posted in the general section as opposed to the AL section, my apologies, I didn't see the general section till much later.

You are all good at rulez ,but breaking them is a treat we have in common.
My thread has been hijacked by members of an elite spelling gang ,what am i to do?.

The fun stuff is out there ,Peace out my fellow gamers.

*Mod Note:  Removed red "box" of doom from quote.*

Since when is breaking rules "a treat"? Sorry, tad confused there!

Anyway, there are many forums here dedicated to Sims 3, and many threads about it, just look around a tad Smiley
83  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Sometimes Nap Mod // More Hairstyles // Men's Clothes on: June 07, 2009, 05:24:37 am
I "found" the sometimes nap to be the problem by a process of elimination, but now I have the same problem again, so i'm not sure if it's actually your mod. Sorry about that!
84  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Game is out right? so why do you talk like its not? on: June 07, 2009, 05:20:22 am
That was a good translation! Were you a chatspeaker in a previous life? lol

Lol no, I've never been a chatspeaker. I've always hated chat, net and textspeak x] That's why whenever I write texts to someone, they're always fully grammatically correct, along with brilliant spelling too - i'm just a grammar/spelling nut, always have been so I used to re-write people's sentences for them  tongue
85  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Can you put a child up for adoption? on: June 07, 2009, 02:21:46 am
I've seen talk of this, but i'm not sure if you can actually do it. Is it possible to put a child up for adoption? I mean, other than the social worker taking your child away, can you manually do it?

Thank you Smiley

Hey! Smiley

I am very sorry if I am making too many WCIF posts, this is my third I think, it's just there are so many good creators out there Smiley

First off, I would like to know where I can find the sometimes nap mod. Unforuntately, it's not because I want to use it, it's because it crashed my game and I want to let the original creator know just in case they weren't aware and other people were having similar problems.

Secondly, one of my favourite downloads is hairstyles, though i've exhausted a lot of the well known sites so i'm running out of places to find them. I'm fairly new to the download community of The Sims 2, so any help to pretty hairstyles [particularly for females] would be appreciated. I especially love up-do's, but I find so little of them.

Thirdly and finally, I would like a really good place to download Men's Clothes. I've never really looked before because the few I came across weren't very good, but i'm sure there are many really good creators of clothing for men, so any links/tips would be welcomed.

Thank you so much in advance, I really appreciate all the help from this section alone and the whole forum. I'm glad I found this place, it's a great place and everyone is so helpful and friendly, so thank you for that too Smiley. You've made me feel very welcome and wanted.

Could someone please translate that original post so that it's understandable to someone that prefers proper writing and punctuation? Honestly, folks, you are about to see someone go off if the text/chatspeak doesn't get left at the door. I don't give a rat's about spelling most of the time, but when people can't be bothered to spell out a word and use one letter instead, then I begin to get a bit torked off about it. If you're too lazy to write it all out, then go ahead and be too lazy to post at all. Thanks.

Also, may we please have capital letters so we know when a sentence begins?

I agree completely, I really don't like chat/netspeak. Anyway, I think it translates to this:

The Sims 3 game is legally out in shops and on the internet, right? It's just I can't find any cheats or a forum about the game [just a forum called Sims 3 Buzz].

Where are the cheats, the downloads, the pictures? Basically, the fun stuff. Where did the good old days of being happy about the new Sims games go?

Of course, that's not entirely grammatically correct as "cheats" and "forum" were used too many times in such a short space, but I couldn't think of another way to write it so near to how the original post was.

Ahh brilliant, Edge Scroll, thank you so much! Smiley Don't know why they didn't put it in automatically x] Who doesn't use it?! It's so much easier tongue
89  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Will there ever be InSimenator for Sims 3? on: June 06, 2009, 10:05:13 am
I doubt it because the one for The Sims 2 has been unsupported for quite some time now.
90  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Camera Angles on: June 06, 2009, 08:48:45 am
Alright, got the game and yeah, I like it, but I have a real problem that makes me not want to play Sad

In The Sims 2, when you were on a lot, if you moved your mouse to the top of the screen you could go forwards, and the same for backwards by moving your mouse to the bottom and exactly the same with sideways.

But that doesn't seem to work The Sims 3. Is there a way I can fix or better this? Because I can't get to or see the back of my house and it's irritating me x]

Also, I have to have the game on the lowest possible settings which makes the graphics look really bad. Golly, cannae wait to get that new computer lol.
