Title: Deleting files from within the game
Post by: killacammy on May 17, 2010, 02:46:16 pm
If you delete files whilst in the game such as through create a sim, will the file be removed from your computer as well or will it just be removed within the game?

It will be deleted from your game, not your computer. The file only exists unzipped in the game-unless you threw the zipped version away after you put in it into the game.

Dangerous to do this....
There are default replacements arround that also popup in CAS.
Deleting these files can screw up your game!

Custom outfits you can delete within CAS but if they are attached to a custom mesh then that mesh will still stay in your folder.

Best thing is to delete from the downloads folder. Then at least you know what you're removing...

Are there any other ways to delete certain custom files apart from using clean pack installer and without having to clear the whole downloads folder because i have a lot of the really old crap quality downloads that i don't use and a lot of Giga Bytes of downloads that desperately need sorting...  2blush
But i can't preview quite a few of them in clean pack installer!
(it's mainly custom hair & clothes i want to delete)
