I just realised i forgot to ever upload something here! And i have staid clear of real sims stories since i broke my neck on the story of Cain, my game broke, or rather my computer decided to freak. and i had to remake them, so it never quite got to be the same again :(

But i got back in the saddle, simwise. And so i am bringing you the story of 'Mary in the Mirror'

Basically when my game broke, it took all sims with it, Cain and his hood, (i have the sims extracted and saved tho), the Storm legacy AND the ghost story. The ghost story is sadly over because i forgot to save the damn ghost boy Gideon. Go figure *rolls eyes* And i forgot to save Dagmar, Gabriels girlfriend. plus i no longer remember what the plot was supposed to be. I decided to use Gabriel for another story, and this is it. He does not hold the leading role tho.

I aimed for a cheap burger-horror flick feeling. You know, we are in a small isolated village, where something is not quite right. a new girl arrives and so some kids decide to play a prank on her, a prank with a deadly outcome. Everyone has secrets, and everyone has reasons, and everyone F'ing dies. :blob6:

Warnings: adult themes, language. but nothing real explicit, it IS a PG-rated game after all.

EDIT May 15'th: Alright thought i would say that i might make an R rating, not because of naked sims, or blood. but because of language, they do swear a lot i think.. and it was just to be on the safe side, so yea a mild R. I realise that an R rating is not really allowed here, so if a mod wants me to take the story down i will do so ASAP, There is no blood, people will not be splattered like that, simply because i lack the photoshop skill. And we wont really see anyone die, mainly because i am not bothered with having 400 game hacks to make it look cool. But im pretty sure i can make it creepy anyways with written words.

wow what a story can't wait for more i love seth and kanes romance and i quite like gabriel too even though hes a sleaze.

Great story, can't wait for the next chapter. Not too sure I like any of these kids so far other than Kane.

Poor Seth. :( Fantastic update, but now I'm gonna worry about Seth till you update again. I already want to go and whip Isabel and her so called fiance's butt. lol

I actually felt really sorry for Seth while writing it. And it was not easy to write Isabel, i will get back to that family at some time tho. :)

I'm almost finished introducing characters, its thursday (in the story) and Saturday is the Pyjama party. So 1½ chapter of introduction to the characters and interactions to go. Before we get on with the actual horror story. lol

I know, i'm surprised that anyone gave me fb at all, now dont get me wrong, i REALLY and TRULY appreciate every single piece of fb i get. But im used to not really getting any, neither for fanfiction or sims2 stories. So believe me i cherish the fb i DO get.

I really like how you've divided it up so each story is another story in and of itself.

I like it a lot too, it makes it more fun to do the story when youre not just stuck with one lead character. but its a puzzle to make the timespan add up.

Well I'll keep posting, you have great writing skills. Reminds me a lot of King's work and how he presents his stories. Now just don't end this like he does, he angers me in his endings. lol

I have all his books. My husband is a big fan of his work. For true crime novels I usually read Ann Rule. I have a lot of her books also. For romance novels which I don't read a lot of I'll pick up a Harlequin novel, several authors write for them. I also like Mary Clark Higgins. I like Dean Koontz, usually buy a lot of his books. After that I'll just buy whatever catches my eye, looks like an interesting story.

Ooooooh THAT King. Yea i know him, i have some book of him, and yes i hate his endings too.

I own a few of Koontz' books too, i just hate how he always have some dude solve it with a gun.

I liked several of his movies! I really liked the Messengers, The Grudge(after I saw this the first time I had to sleep with my back against my husband I didn't like the idea some ghost could come up behind me and grab me. lol) I agree with you also about Koontz, he has some great story lines, but he solves most in the same way.

I really like this story! I haven't read it all so far, but I intend to. I like the creativity and the plots really interesting.

I like Cyan less and less with each chapter, when she goes to sleep let's shave her head and have a little party for her. The beatings shall now commence. ;) Don't like Gabriel either. I get the sneaky feeling he's not really into Cyan either. Anyway another great chapter.

@PegasusDiana: Cyan is not a bad kid actually, i think shes just suffering from a severe Princess syndrome, as in shes used to having it her way, all the time. Maybe its cute when the kid is 3 but not when they are 16. And Gabriel, yea he seems pretty detached, But i think that hes maybe just waiting till he's old enough and can go off and live somewhere else, i dont know. Or maybe he's not really one to show his true feelings?

either you use HTML, or you just use rich text on LJ. you need to upload the pictures somewhere like http://photobucket.com/

If you use photobucket and rich text, then if you copy the html under your picture, and paste it into your 'make a lj post' window, it will show up instantly on your lj entry as you work.

You can guess when you want to, But you can only guess once per death. So if you make a guess lets say in chapter 11, you have to wait until some sim has died before you can make your next guess.

For you guys here on InSim, you can vote here if you have a lj or not. you can allso spot me your lj username if you want to (and have one). Otherwise you will be noted as *username* @ InSim. maybe i will make the username a link to your public profile, but im not really sure, that would just be be totally nitpicking. I will of course announce what needs to be announced regarding the death-bet in the AN to the story, and allso as an open AN here. (as in the written post)

I spent my whole morning reading your story, Lady.  It's fascinating, and I couldn't stop, lol.  You're a great writer - good characterization, great storyline, each person is individual and you do a fantastic job at backstory so we get to know them.  Very well done.  I'm sad already that most of them will die, lol, because you make it very easy to attach to them all.  I think Seth is my favorite character - he has so much going on in his life, many things to sympathize with - but I don't know all the characters, yet, so that could change.  Cyan is quite interesting - very manipulative, knows how to get what she wants.  I love her beautiful dark eyes.

You also do a good job at building suspense in that creepy cabin.  I can't wait to see what happens next!

I know those black eyes are from Zombie Jill, on MTS2, and well i dont really have a favorite character in that story, i like them all to some extend. While i do have a storyline, some stuff change sometimes because i let my sims have free will, and they sometimes do silly things that fits perfectly into the story, so in reality they are better storytellers than me *grins*

Note: This is half the chapter that i shot and planned, but since the chapter was only half done, and i am really busy these days, i decided that half was better than nothing. This is why this chapter ends pretty funky! And this also means that you do not need to think about the death bet until chapter 12, not 11 as i said before.  :)

Aw, you're such a pretty writer.  Florian looks waaay different than he did in your Storm Legacy, lol.  Are you still going to continue with that?  Do you happen to remember where you got Florian's hair?  I'm always on the lookout for decent male hair.  I like Seth's, too.

Nice chapter.  I like the references to Mary's pie and cheesecake - it sets a nice realistic tone to the story.  And what a couple of naughty little boys they are, lol!  I'm looking forward to the next part.

I really like how the personalities of the teens are so different from each other, and you do a good job of keeping them true to themselves when you have several in a group together.  Chickpea's hesitancy was well done, and shows that even if someone seems tough on the outside, they are still human.

hahahaha Since chapter 10 was broken off in two, the actual first death wont happen untill chapter 12. I still have chapter 11 to type up. The hubby took the kids all day and let me veg out. so i have had a shitload of sims stuff done, including the photos for chapter 11. Plus some stuff for two new stories and a stupid legacy im doing. (No its not the Storm Legacy, its a rainbow legacy, pretty silly but fun)

AN: I know i haven't dated the story, but somehow i just want Terry's teen years to have been in the 70ies,  i didn't grow up in a village. I imagine that time had stood pretty still there, and that the teens are only starting to enjoy the freedom of the late 60'ies. So i'd imagine it being a weird warp between the late 50'ies because of the parents, and the silent revolution of the kids, listening to rock and roll. *gg* And then the sexual liberation of the 70ies. I've been reading this in intervals for days and now I've gone back and reread it. Your writing is amazing, your pictures are beautiful and I just want to steal your characters and give them a big hug (Kane, Seth and Terry at least, not any of the buttheaded ones). Okay, someone snuffs it in this chapter, meaning that we have 3 kids left, and one of those is the survivor. So we are almost done.. i guess there is like 4 or 5 chapters left of this story.

Good news is that i have been working on a sequel, a supernatural less one, just the drama, or atleast i didnt plan of people getting offed by a ghost. it dont even have a worktitle yet besides *sequel* hahaha but i will just post it here in this thread, since it is actually still this story. kinda, anyway!

And it is not beause i am lazy that i did not describe the last couple of deaths, it was just impossible to take snapshots for, so i gave up.

Darn, they're a really adorable couple, too. Very loveable characters - I hate to think of how the other will react when one of them is found dead.

For those who do not follow my sims2 livejournal, then 'no' you didn't miss some chapters of MiM, AL swiped that one damn hood where i had my story, it set the .ini file back to default, and i lost everything, every chapter, house and everything else. So instead of trying to recreate it, i decided to just jump in space and time and let us get the story of what happened in those hours from Cyan was reported missing to the last man stood standing, backwards. So will be told via the memory of the survivor. These two chapters that comes now is different in every way, from what MiM have been, and what the sequel will be like, this is just kinda a 'time jump' filler. i hope you don't hate me man..

thanks :) yea i had to get creative there.. it sucks really! after these two chapeters of doctors notes, then i will continue with Seth's story, plus we need to get a ending to the whole Izzy/Terrence thing, and so much more. The rest of the story (besides this and the next chapter) will be a normal story.

=O I just read it. I'm not surprised at the survivor really but I had no idea that was how he was going to die. I love the set up for you pictures though, it makes it seem very realistic. I can't wait for the next chapters (I really hope the accusations aren't true), and I know you'll be able to pull it off amazingly. That does really suck about your game and honestly, you can throw as many tantrums as you want.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you get 17 year old Seth's hair? I can't seem to find it anywhere and it's one of the best male hairstyles I've seen.

i honestly dont remember but my best shot is that you look at GoS. i think it might be a recolor thing from there. i stumbed across this POST (http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=6608.0) and its the same hair, Seth just has a old version of this. And well so its a Raon mesh, i dont know if the version i have has another texture, but i dont think so. Hope that helped some.

AN: So this is the second and last half of the 'crystal towers' part of this story, i didn't really make up my mind what to call the rest of the story, since that is in Veronaville, or SimCity, didn't decide on that one either. Adam will return later in the story, and so will Nurse Rayne, The doc too.. So maybe i should just keep the name? let me know what you think. Hey! Regarding to this, have you saved your downloads and neighborhoods folder before you installed apartment stuff? Cause when you install new exp. you had to backup-well, I usually back up everything in My Documents/Sims 2 folder and after installing new pack I put back that folder (replacing everything new installed with old folders) in that folder...aaaa...I don't know how to explain it well but I hope you will understand...and also, if you have some packs that are installing with simpackinstaller you should them install again...I know what has happened to you but don't know how to properly explain it on english...hope it was helpful...

i know what you mean, but no i did not make a backup of anything, cause i am an idiot! i nevre had trouble after installing an EP ever, i never ever needed a backup. i made one, once. but my game had a breakdown when i tried to put the hoods back in the game, and it ended in me having to reinstall the entire game. i never backed up since. and well... i guess it was just my turn to have EP trouble. :)

I think i just hit that max file thing that some thread here on this forum talks about, and the .ini file reset itself to default. All my other hoods are fine, it is only the hood (Riverblossom hills) where i had Mary in the Mirror that is gone. All others are normal, and my legacy family is intact.

AN: So this is the fist actual chapter in this sequel thingie, it was supposed to be longer, but i kinda felt that i needed some other stuff between the two parts this chapter was supposed to have, so now its just one part ^_^  Sorry for the lame title, i totally suck at story titles. (I'm not happy that he went to jail for it, just that Seth's butthead for a stepfather got shot. I'm also not glad that it was in front of his mother or brother, just glad that he got what he deserved. Seth's stepfather was a horrible person, it's understandable isn't it?)

I'm glad Seth has got out of there, but also kind of (really) sad that Kane isn't there to be with him.

I can't wait until we get to meet Terrance and Izzy again, and this chapter was really good. Did Seth name the kitten Kane or did he think it was Kane's ghost (or a still-alive Kane?) that brought him the kitten and was encouraging Seth to go meet up with Ferris/Pumpkin? That part confused me a little, which actually might be intentional because Seth might be nuttier than originally thought.

The part where Seth/Marcus and Ferris/Pumpkin first met was kind of humorous because they were both lying about their names (I'm just assuming Pumpkin was because you kept calling him Ferris, but it could just be a nickname that he prefers).

yea i realise it was confusing. it was on purpose, the explanation follows actually. But yes Seth thinks that its Kane's spirit in that white kitten. or rather he really WANTS to believe that his beloved found him again, and he dont have to be alone anymore.

Isabell is a perfect example of why I dislike most of the adults in this story. I just want to hug Seth and use that phone (I forget the name of it) to bring Kane back to life and let them live out their lives happily.

I keep on wondering how Kane really died. I want to believe Seth but he is insane, so I don't really know what to believe.

I can't promise you we ever really will find out how Kane died, we will hear Seth's version, and the police's version.. maybe the truth is in between. I know what happened, but im secretive like that. That is actually half of this story plot, to figure out if Seth really did kill some of those kids, including Kane, and then ofcourse that we need to make some of those wrongs, right.

My muse has been overactive, and i have photos for the next two updates, but i have a legacy that really needs an update.. but i think i might end up doing a chapter of this instead. lol

Well it's an awesome story plot to say the least. A little mystery's never killed anyone (except for the majority of the teenage population in Murky Mile, but who's counting?).

I hope so, this has become my favorite Sim story (my favorite story of all time, actually) and reading an update makes my day.

its typically me actually, my muse always took me some really warped places, even when i write fanfiction, i could never 'just' write a short story, i always have to expand the plot, like crazy expand. lol... MiM was supposed to be a 3 or 4 chapter story to begin with xD

That is so insanely sweet. Ferris seemed so little when he said that. It's adorable. This story just keeps on getting better.

Seth has quite the messed up life though. His step-father beat him, his childhood friends were murdered in a way unknown to us, he got sent to an insane asylum and he becomes friends with a prostitute. Even so, he's still an amazing character.

I also found it pretty amusing when Seth pretended to be Terry's boyfriend. It was funny in that sick sort of way. I must say, I love your overactive muse. :D

i actually figured that Seth is so strange that no 'normal' person would give him the time of day. So i had to find someone that somehow brought up the fraternal instinct in Seth, something that would make him do the effort to stick with that person.. Seth has grown quiet estranged to other people after all that which happened.

So i figured a pros would do the 'trick' (heh bad pun intended) Plus it was great material to write with.

@Elven_Song:I still feel terrible for never finishing the Cain story. and i am actually planning on doing a little oneshot with those guys. I seem to have lost the Harlen & Liam sim, but i have a hard time believing that Cain would have stuck with the same man for long anyways.. Im glad you like Mary in the mirror, and Dreams made of glass.. and truth is that i planned MiM out as a silly slasher story, it just evolved along the way. Ah, yes! Finally some story with Bastian and Izzy. I was really starting to wonder what was going on there. haha. Hopefully things get sorted out because they are a cute couple. I was thinking the other day that I really hate that Nando cross-dresses, (I like the boys to dress up like boys when they're loving other boys) but then I realized that it kind of fits with Terry being bi. Interesting...

I hope so, he seems rather insecure in this chapter. I mean, I can understand why he would be insecure about his relationship with Izzy with Terry around but their relationship ended years and years ago so it's (maybe) unecessary. This chapter was very sad, but also very sweet. Like the Titanic movie, but I didn't cry as much (although I did tear up a tad, so it was quite the chapter - it takes a very well written story to make me cry). I adore this story more and more with each update, and I can't wait to find out what really happened to those who died. I guess we'll all just have to wait and find out...

AN slave: When i say politics, i should say abortion, so if any of you are prolife, don't bother. Personally i am prochoice, and that does not even cover it! I love Dharma, im kinda glad she is not a monster since she is a ingame born child. I know that Listen is trying to be friendly, but in reality i am sure that both Terry and Dharma would have been better off not knowing, and not meeting. You know what i mean, when they didn't know, then they had nothing to miss.

They will return in not so long, Actually then there is a chapter more of Seth and Izzy at Isabels, and then they will go to the cemetary, and they will meet Izzy's mom. And i planned on them visiting the diner and seeing some long lost "friends" Plus we have the 'drama lets leave town' chapter. xD I can safely say that Crystal will be VERY pregant when they return, and some shit happened that they need to straighten out in the city. ^_^ But i have another 48 promts to go, since i decided not to use them on the vampire story.

Hopefully she grows up to be really awesome, rather than the reverse effect that tends to happen. Ugly sims grow more beautiful as they age... that kind of thing.

Actually in reality, gamewise i mean, Dharma is the child of Moon, i guess i clicked the wrong icon or something in the insiminator. And if there is one thing i know, then it's that Moon makes REALLY pretty children. Moon is btw allso an ingame born sim ^_^

Im currently doing a legacy, and my gen 8 kids are just effin DEFORMED, xD strange really cause their one parent is not really THAt ugly, and their other parent is a 'prettier' maxis facetamplate. but sometimes those really ugly kids grow up to have some really pretty and unique facial features. But you know that.. I am gonna grow up dharma and see what she will look like, once i don't need her in the story no more.

Oh i am not in a hurry, actually i just sat down to look at the next chapter of either DoG or the vampire story (after my own heart) i didn't quite make up my mind what to write tonight, and yeah my husband and i are just home with the kids, doing nothing. But i am having a couple of drinks, its new years after all, so it could be rather interesting whatever i chose to write xD

Aw... yeah, she does look a lot like him. But it's a good thing Terry and Moon are fairly similar.
Moon is just awesome, and from what I've seen his kids are gorgeous. =]

Ahaha. That tends to happen, when so many maxis genetics are all mixed up in there.
It's kind of funny that way... it seems that if the parents faces are too different, the different features that are combined end up looking really strange all together. xD

I ended up not writing anything, my husbands brother came by with fireworks a bottle of Whiskey, a bottle of Vodka, and i had a bottle of Gin and two sixpacks Heineken. So we went out to lit the fireworks at 19:00 for the sake of the kids, and then sent them to bed at around ten. and yeah, i can fairly say i did not write anything, but neither do i remember going to bed *blush*

Haha... it seems most of my favourite characters of yours in this story and other have been recycled from Cain's story. Kind of funny, since I get to love them all over again.

I love Sun's hubby. How gorgeous. Yes, his siblings all turned out so lovely. Pale and pretty. ^^

Haha. I love how toddlers end up with such awful cheeks. They're usually pinched or totally bloated. Hopefully that cheekbone finds it's way back into her skin. xD (I like the green hair, by the way)

Fireworks are banned where I live, but a lot of people still set them off. On these holidays I think of my friend that lives on a busy street and feel sorry for her, all night it's fireworks and drunks yelling and running down the street. haha.

I don't remember going to bed, even without alcohol. v.v Mostly, because I lack sleep. haha. Our midnight countdown was somehow extended to 4am when some of my friends arrived. Thank goodness my parents went to a friend's as well. -__-'

Just so you know, because I'm sure you haven't heard yet, in a couple weeks I am leaving to live with my grandparents on a remote tropical island. Yeah, not sure if I want my bible-thumping grandparents to have something to hold against me. v__v
Hopefully I will be able to use the internet at the library there, but I am not guaranteed regular access due to power outages that tend to happen, also not sure if I want to be reading it in front of all those lovely people there, since prolly half of them will know my grandparents (yeah, really small island).

Anyways, I will try to post as much as I can, but just as a warning, don't freak out if I dissapear.

AN: The language I used for my made up gypsy nationality is Hungarian, just because it looks so pretty when written. And I decided that Ferris and Tallulah was twins, I tried to backtrack to see if I stated otherwise somewhere else, but all I found was her stating that he was her baby brother, but I suppose one would be the eldest even if they are twins, so maybe she was making fun of him. I was sure I had said something about their family, but apparently it was just in my head xD.

Man, I never thought I would see them together all of a sudden! I knew something would happen to Seth when he went out but I didn't think he'd meet Ferris so quickly. haha.
=] I just hope that Ferris can kick that nasty habit soon... before it gets him into trouble.

Nice update, LadyAzmodan. I really didn't think Early would propose to Crystal, I mean she has a point there that after Ferris left he proposed. Has he really changed though?

Awwwww... okay, even though I don't really like Crystal, that was just cute. I really, really hope that Early can be there to see his kids grow up, rather than just visiting, in the future.

AN: So this is the last chapter for now, the next chapter will jump two years out into the future. The series will still be called the same tho, we're just making a little time warp. Okay, that was not pure fluff, but still nothing too terribly shocking or traumatizing. haha. I almost screamed out "NO!" when Ferris hung up on Seth but I'm glad it didn't end badly in that chapter.
Completely looking forward to the next chapter, I just want to know where everyone stands in 2 years! haha. =]

That's why i haven't updated. But i have a week of vacation now, and two more in the beginning of August, so i am planning to get some story done there. ^_^

Hmmm.. not sure if i should pull this story, it is rated M for language and adult situations/issues after all. Not buckets of blood or straight out nudity, y'all who read it know that.. but still.. Anyway, if i end up having to pull it, you know where to find it on LJ right?
