It used to be that a group of these dogs would sleep on the straw roofs of their family, and when some dangerous animal would come up the others would soon join. They'd form a pack around the animal and scare it off, or sometimes kill it. It's an alert breed which can reach speeds of 37 mph(or 60 km/h). They're also independent.
