Title: Over a million Simoleons?!
Post by: DollieB. on December 23, 2008, 04:56:17 pm
Yeah, Hi.

I LOVE seeing beautiful houses created by talented simmers, and i would love to use the lot.
Notice how i said 'use'. IDK if this has been in an earlier post or something, but...

Problem: I used to download residential lots with no problem. Unfortunately,
now whenever i do, it's uh...too expensive. What i mean is, if i downloaded a lot
that was 27,456 simoleons, It would actually be like 1,234,586,697+ simoleons. I would be like,
"WTF?" and when i try to load it WITH NO FAMILY MOVED IN, it crashes my game.
Has anyone ever had this problem and/or know how to help me?
Much appreciated.  :p

Nicky. ♥

This means that the lot you downloaded requires an expansion pack or stuff pack you do not have installed. Delete it from your lots and houses bin - unless you buy and install the necessary EPs and/or SPs, you will never be able to use this lot.

Oh, Okay.

Thanks.

Wait, Even with the clean pack installer installed?

Nevermind, Thank you. Seriously. :)

Sorry it took me so long to reply but I was traveling. I think you can get around SP requirements with Clean Installer but it won't get around EP requirements. SPs (with the possible exception of the Holiday Pack and Mansions & Gardens) just add content to the game while EPs change the save file format, which is why houses made with EPs you don't have crash the game - the file format is not quite the same.
