Wow. Guess that gives the term "human servant" a whole new meaning, eh? Titter

My cat does some weird stuff, too. Whenever I'm cleaning his litterbox, he'll just sit there and stare at me. And guess what he does right after I put fresh litter in? He jumps right in, and does his business, right in front of me! I think that's his new way of telling me, "Thank you for cleaning my poop-box!" Uh, you're welcome, I guess? Eyebrow

Yep, my mouse has the same thing. A large handprint on my mouse from all the time I've spent on it.

No a genetic mutation form of DMD can't be caused in girls- or maybe if one parent carries/has it/becker? Hmm... I'd actually have to look into that.

If I remember anything from biology, any man with DMD who wants to have kids biologically related to them is pretty much playing with high voltage. He doesn't know if his spouse is a carrier of DMD or not. After relearning how to make Punnett Squares, and making a few myself, I was quite in awe of the results. If the affected man and a carrier woman have kids, there's a 25% chance that they'll have an affected son or an affected daughter. But, if said man has kids with a non-carrier woman, then there's a 50% chance his daughters will be carriers, but his sons won't have the disease.

To answer your question, Katie, while DMD is more common in males, females can get the disease as well, but only if her father has the disease, which would be a pretty rare occurence.

Two weeks of band camp are gone. We now have the entire opener for this year's show on the field, which is almost half of the show! Oh, and I got my schedule for the school year, and apparently, I don't have an English class. huh Instead, I have two band periods, 3rd and 4th period. But the funny thing is, when I went to try and get my schedule fixed, one of the principals asked me what needed to be changed on my schedule, and when I told her, she took one look at my schedule, and said, "Well, what do you need English for, Mr. [insert last name here]? Your father's the band director, and I'm sure he'd rather you have jazz band than English!" And this was an old lady prinicpal I was talking to! Laugh2

I did that, too, Paden. Still getting the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message. Sad

I'm having the same problem. I double-checked the link and my internet connection: they're all fine! But MTS still won't work. Sad

I hear you on humidity, joy. As far as I'm concerned, humidity is the devil of all weather! It's really bad down here in the Texas gulf coast, and we had to start marching band this week! Monday wasn't too bad, but the rest of the week sucked, weather-wise. Sad

"Last night I was looking at the stars and I was wondering where the heck is my ceiling!"

Haha, I like that one!

"I know what I want for Christmas: an air guitar!" - My physics teacher's son.

Here's a rant that can be a rave as well.

My body's really sore from band camp, especially my legs. I don't think I'll even be able to move my legs, much less walk, by Saturday. Undecided *sigh* I must be getting old. But I'm positive all this pain will be worth it! Honestly, I'm actually pretty confident with this year's freshmen. Hell, the band got more done in the past three days of this year than the first two weeks of last year. Even some of the sections are getting bored because they're running out of things to cover in sectionals, inside and on the field! This will surely pay off when it's time to go to Area, and hopefully we'll even make it to State this year! Grin

No, it's SpamTV. It's like MTV in the old days, but with frequent spam commercials.

Rave: Last high school band camp in a few days!

Rant: How the hell do the band directors expect us to get acclimated to the weather when it's been raining almost every day this summer?!
