No custom meshes means a bunch of sims with static body shapes with only limited differences between them, especially if it's only two sliders to adjust body types as Pescado said.

I'll pass, thank you.
334  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: No Securom in the sims3 on: March 27, 2009, 05:04:58 am
Ok, so they're nixing Securom for another format DRM that's less invasive. That's an improvement, but still not enough to make me buy it. My decision will come when they clear up the CC issue on if it will be "open" or subscription only. In a nutshell, I'm still not buying the game. Not until they answer more questions, and the answers are at least close to what I (and many others like me) want to hear. But thanks for the info none the less, Pierre.
335  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / For those who are name challenged... on: March 17, 2009, 07:55:48 am
http://www.behindthename.com/random/

Behindthename.com is a name database site I've used for 3 years now, for naming my sims and my create-a-wrestlers (CAWS) on the Smackdown Vs. Raw series of video games. They have a HUGE database of names, and you can even mix and match names. The way it works is you check off the dialect of the names you want generated, the select what gender you want generated and how many names you want generated. After that, hit generate a name and VIOLA!!! You can hit refresh on the screen that shows your generated name for it to automatically generate another name, and it even gives you the entomology of each name when you click it. Have fun with it, folks. Grin

337  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Hit Break Point Primitive  on: March 17, 2009, 04:12:03 am
I had this problem happen to me before. I couldn't figure out a technical fix, but what I did do was exit the lot, go into another lot of someone who had a high relationship with the sim I wanted to move out, invited said sim over, asked the sim to move in, and THEN moved the sim out to the sim bin in neighborhood. My only deduction is there might be something on the moving sim's lot that's causing a conflict with the Computer (And the Newspaper, as it gave me the error as well). My solution doesn't fix the error, but it is a way to get the sim you want moved into the sim bin so you can put them in a lot of their own. I hope this helps you some.
338  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Re: Post your favorite Sim kids, toddlers or babies on: March 15, 2009, 07:19:21 am
Here's three of my favorite youngins. All three 3rd generation.

1st we have the youngest of the trio, Travis Richter. While he's pretty playful, he's also super shy. (Takes after his mother, Lillian.)

Next we have the middle child, Shane. Unlike Sean, there's nothing shy about this kid. Personality on over drive. He also likes dancing...a lot.

Last but not least we have the oldest of the Richter brothers, Shane. He inherited all of the genetics of their father (Skin tone, hair style, he's like a friggin' clone of him.) He's actually now in the teen stage, but this is a pick I managed to get of him while he was still a child playing with Shane once. Even though he's older, he still plays with his brothers a ton, and also encourages them a lot, almost as much as the parents do.

Moonlight: Jessie's got a gaze that would make a grown man well...I'll leave that part out, lol.

Nyx: Another pair of stunners. We expect nothing less from you. Cheesy

Lothloria: The tanned skin tone and blond hair are DEFINITELY working on Isabella. Lovin' it. Simply lovin' it.
341  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Who's going to get the The Sims 3? on: March 11, 2009, 06:00:36 am
Mary made a valid point as well, I especially like the reference to Spore used. MAN was that game a freaking let down. And what pisses me off more is that Gamestop doesn't take trade-ins for PC games, otherwise I would have traded it in months ago. It's a prime example of EA forcing something down our gullets that they assume we'll like because it's from "The Creators of The Sims." Accept TS1 & 2 didn't have broken, boring, mundane gameplay. Now I'm not saying TS3 will be that bad, but it sure as hell isn't going to be what TS2 became, not unless they either overhaul what they're initially planning on shipping in June (fat chance of that happening) or allow people to make their own modifications to the game via CC and game mods, thus making what crap they put out better. Make no bones about it, The Sims 2 was a landmark game not just because of what the game offered out of the box, but because the users could tailor make the game exactly how they want. That's why it's called "The Sims"...Simulated life. No two people perceives the concept the same way, and no two people play the game the same way.

Reply#150 by Robin is now officially the greatest post EVAR, LMAO! But I couldn't possibly agree more. When you hear EA PR People talk about "They've been listening to what the fans on the internet want in the next game", You're left to wonder what message boards are they tapping for their info? Oh wait, the ones that whore out to EA, how could I not realize that?  rolleyes

344  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Your 30 days are up... on: March 10, 2009, 12:05:37 pm
Ok, here's a twist to Kinnika's initial question. In the Pictures Board, there are TONS of threads that haven't been replied to since January, and I do have pics I'd like to contribute to these threads (Examples: Picks of Pets and Made Over Maxis Sims respectively). Would it be frowned upon for me to resurrect the threads both subjects fall under, seeing as it's been well over a month since anything has been posted in them?
345  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Which sims 2 existing family is ur fave? on: March 09, 2009, 09:35:09 pm
My fave default family would have to be The Goths. Since I started playing them, I brought Bella back, aged Morty back down to Adult, but close to being an Elder as again...as well as Bella, and played the lot long enough that Alex is now a teen. Cassandra has moved out into her own apartment, and left Don's ass high and dry for one of my CAS males. (Don't worry, Don still gets around, lol.) I also gave them a makeover fitting of their name, giving the family a more darker look to them.
