Title: Black Thumbnails in buy/build Post by: Hunii on July 09, 2008, 09:21:44 pm A couple of days ago i upgraded my computer, new mobo, processor, ram, graphics card! After the upgrade i didnt reformat an just installed the mobo new drivers onto my harddrive over the old ones, i did uninstall my older graphic drivers before reinstalling the new ones. Computer as running good except for the occasional BSOD & that was happening when i wasnt even in my game.
So i formatted installed all software that i use an all my games back, i have all 8 EP's & 8 SP's. Installed scriptorium & the lastest CEP an fired up my game with a few bodyshop CC went into game clicked on UNA house an did a run through there. The reason tested with bodyshop cc is because i had a issue a while back with non of it showing up. Checked the mirror to change appearance an this is what i got (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm106/Hunii-Lala/ReflexSims/Misc/Utoh2.jpg) After i clicked ok to save the changes, my control panel looked like this ... (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm106/Hunii-Lala/ReflexSims/Misc/Utoh1.jpg) So i exited out of game remove bs cc & put in some cc objects an this is what i get ... (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm106/Hunii-Lala/ReflexSims/Misc/Image3-1.jpg) Now NOT all cc objects are blackened out some cc show normal even the recols but if i place the object in home it shows up fine an i can change the colour with the designer tool! Only its so time consuming. This is what i have tried too see if it will fix it .. ::smilieiforgetwhi::1. Reinstalled my GC drivers ... didnt help! ::smilieiforgetwhi::2. Downloaded lastest drivers... didnt help! Yes i uninstalled previous drivers first. :happy8: ::smilieiforgetwhi::3 Uninstalled freetime an reinstalled ... didnt help. ::smilieiforgetwhi::4.Tried different neighbourhods, shows like that in all :S I doubt its CEP because i tested game before installing any CC. I dont have hacks an dont use the light mod. Computer specs.. Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2220 @ 2.40GHz Mobo: Gigabyte NvidiaGeforce GA-73VM-S2 RAM Mermory 2048 MBs NVIDIA® GeForce 9600GT/HTDI/512M GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 - driver version 175.19 HD: WD 320Gig External HD: WD 500Gig LG 19in Monitor Logitec speakers & sub -Realtek High Definition Running Windows XP Home SP3 Any help would be much appreciated! I know you uninstalled and reinstalled just FT, but you may want to try this method (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Corrupted_Objects.package) in fixing corrupt objects.package files for your earlier EPs... if you have any. ;)
