okay first of all, since i have installed Bonvoyage no matter what season i am in there is snow on my roof and outdoor objects.

I had this problem with one particular lot as well.  I hate to say this, but you're just going to have to wait it out.  Once your seasons cycle through and winter/snow occurs again, the old snow should go away- it'll go back to normal once the new snow melts.

More correctly: 'tis a problem of a user running an old version of InTeen in Bon Voyage - not with the old version of InTeen itself.

terribly sorry, that's what I meant.

131  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / sims freeze at 7pm! on: October 24, 2007, 10:59:02 am

For my contest I need nightime shots.  I'm not sure that cheat will work since I don't have university expansion I thought that was a university cheat?

The cheat started with OFB, I believe.  I'm sorry I should have mentioned that initially.  I believe it carries forward through expansions past OFB.

There's a mod by the same creator that does the exact opposite as the one I mentioned previously- though not having used that one, I can't say whether or not you'll be able to revert to having daylight on any lot you use it on.
http://www.modthesims2.com/member/showthread.php?t=238016
I did fail to mention that both mods require Seasons to work.

Does the game crash at 7pm?  Have you tried giving it a few minutes to right itself after it freezes?

what sort of graphics card do you have?
does the game eventually un-freeze?
does nightfall occur?

That used to happen to me too, until I upgraded my graphics card.
It'd only last a minute or two until my old graphics card could render the lighting from day into night and vice versa.

For your contests- if you don't need night time shots, you could use the set hour cheat.  Open your cheat box, type in sethour 8
(think military time when choosing and entering a number)
voila, it's 8am.

Also, there's a hacked object on MTS2 that will make it daylight all the time on the lot that it's used on.  Fair warning though, I've used this for a contest once and was not able to switch it back to normal.

133  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / remembering cheats on: October 22, 2007, 10:40:25 am
you could also try Lucas' Sims 2 Easy Cheats.  It's a tiny program that you run in the background that uses a combination of keystrokes to input your cheats for you.
http://www.aussietopenders-sims2.com/Programs.htm

It has to be open/running in the background or it won't work.

Another trick to remember is that if you have already typed in a cheat while playing, you can open your cheat box and hit the up arrow on your keyboard to cycle through the cheats you have used during your current session.

did you build the hotel on a community lot?

if so, go into the hotel from the neighborhood screen.  open up your cheat box and type in changelotzoning hotel and hit enter.  Save and exit.  Go back to your neighborhood screen and your hotel should show up as lodging.  This info is on page 7 of the manual that came with the game, in case you need to reference it.

If you built it on a residential lot, you'll first have to change it to a community lot (make sure that no sims are living on the lot) with the same method above, only the cheat is changelotzoning community . After you've done and saved that, then follow the info above to zone the lot as a hotel.
