Title: Historical Maternity Project: Victorian
Post by: kalynn06 on March 02, 2008, 05:02:30 pm
I play lots of historical inspired neighborhoods, which is the main reason I use inteen. For a while I was just adding pregnant morphs to other custom meshes, but I wanted to be able to share recolors, so I had to make my own.  The first in this project is an early to mid Victorian silhouette.  I've made 6 day dresses and  3 evening dresses.  They were inspired by fashion plates mostly found: here (http://locutus.ucr.edu/~cathy/weev.html)

Hairs in the Pics are by Peggy, Windkepper at TSR, Pronup Sims and Sussi

Although I'm uploading them as teen maternity, they work just fine as regular clothes, even if you don't have inteen installed.

All pregnant sims in the pictures are in their third trimesters.  I'm sorry for the odd picture lighting.  I'm having driver issues that I'm still working out.

Known Issue: The mapping on the bottom of the skirt is messed up; it's what I sacrificed for the shape of the skirt.  You only see this in extreme dance moves and when the sim reclines on a bed.

Remember to grab the mesh!

Comments are welcome and appreciated.  Thanks for looking and enjoy :)

***On Historical Accuracy: These are "sim realistic" rather than strictly historically accurate.  They are inspired by real Victorian dresses, but I've taken liberties to sim them.  If you have issues with this, I'm sorry and I hope you find something more to your liking elsewhere :)

I bow to you, I've been looking all over for (historical) teen pregnancy outfits for medieval up to the 19th century and haven't found ANYTHING, this was my last shot, why didn't anyone think of this before?, I mean keeping historically accurate isn't a big deal, but seems weird that everyone makes 21st century teen maternity clothes but none before, thanks for making them, great job.
