Title: "do Not pm" Blues or Abject Apologies
Post by: Nonni on June 09, 2009, 01:46:33 am
I would like to apologize to all the great and amazing people, like Ali, Squinge, J. M. Pescado, etc, to whom I have sent pm's.  My bad - I just realized my faux pas as a terrible lack of proper InSim site ettiquette.  I just didn't read all the message, you know the "fine print" about "do not pm me".  2blush 3cry

PS. I like pm's but I'm a complusive chatterer, just ask DaSpecial1.

Aww you're not bad at all Nonni I enjoy out chats ;D.  I don't know "pm etiquette" either but I do know from reading other threads there's usually no need to apologize if you err...not repeating the error is enough :).

At any rate we all love you...um, except maybe Pescado but I'm pretty sure he holds equal disdain for all of us ;).

Pescado is a jerk in a class all by himself and that's the truth. I don't mind when people send me PM's, so long as they aren't abusive like some of the ones I've gotten telling me to go screw off and such because they got in trouble because they thought the rules didn't apply to them. Questions, I don't mind and will answer if I can. Requests I can't do much about because the main thing I do is recolour paintings and make bedding for sims. Demands get fired out the window along with popcorn hulls and dead bugs. :D Flaming meets with the same and at times a permanent vacation from the site.

I just blame it on the alcohol. Much more convenient, plus, you don't have to give away your age in the process. :P

No one has been rude or obstepreous (how ever you spell that and what ever that means). I just realized (Do NOT Laugh) what a PM is and knew I was guilty.  Y'all use so many letters to replace words its like learning a new language for me.

Quit laughing!

I revere the giants of this site with their genius and creativity.  J. M. Pescado is my hero. (Sighs)

Well, Da, you can laugh.

I think I have been doing computer stuff all along, I just didn't know the terminology, especially not the shortcut use of letters that stand for some operation.

One time at work my computer crashed and I lost all the documents and forms I had created.  I told my boss that I would have to start from scratch.  He told me he couldn't believe a computer user would not backup their work.  Not wanting to expose my ignorance I just gave him a blank stare.  I decided I would copy all my stuff onto what was then called a floppy because it was floppy. Later we got the 3.5 floppies that weren't floppy.

Anyhoo, I knew what to do just didn't know what it was called.
