Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Favorite TSR artists

My fave artists would have to be Aikea Guinea and Gelydh; as I was foolish enough to fork out for a sub, I can still access their downloads in a 'legit' manner for about two more months.
Lianaa, Simaddict99 and CycloneSue are wonderful artists, too. I've found some 'diamonds in the rough' amidst all the free creations as well, and if it weren't for those, I'd stop visiting TSR altogether.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / I'm so sad that simbella forum is closeing :(

I've noticed there is a blatant lack of commentary on this thread, and somehow, I'm not surprised. Simbella has received tons of negative publicity on both the PMBD and SFV forums, and to be frank with you I couldn't care less about its closure, especially since I never bothered to register.
I've read stories about the Simbella forum becoming a battleground, and for that reason I was tempted to register with them, just to check it out! Kidding!
BTW, this thread should be under Sims 2 Discussion instead of the general discussion section.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Small Houses

I agree with you there. Even though I'm on a new and more powerful PC which is much better equipped at handling larger lots than my old PC was, I still have a soft spot for the more compact lots. What really rankles me about many starter lots is they never seem to contain more than one or two bedrooms.
I have thought about creating some residential and commercial lots for upload; trouble is, I have all EPs and SPs installed, and I'm very conscious of the fact that not everybody has everything installed on their machines. So, I'm holding off until Numenor updates his BaseGameStarter Pro utility.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Sims don't do anything

It's possible you have downloaded something which is causing a jump bug in your game. Switch on "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true", and an error message should pop up (be warned, you're probably going to get stacks of them if you have got a jump bug!). As you get the error messages, documents will appear in the Logs folder which the game will generate (EAGames/The Sims 2/Logs, under My Documents). You can determine what is causing the jump bugs by reading the reports, so you can remove the culprit file. Meshes have been known to cause jump bugs as well.
That's all I can suggest, as I've had the same problem myself, and it ultimately turned out a bed mesh I had downloaded was causing the jump bugs in my game rather than a hack.
