Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Can Bigfoot Be more then Just A Family Member?

Its odd... bigfoot is a "man" so he should be able to marry etc. I wonder why they wouldn't allow it? EAxis probably thought that any sexual/romantic interactions between Bigfoot and a human sim (or any other sim-life form, for that matter) would constitute bestiality, on account of his overly-hirsute appearance and the fact that he resembles an animal to an even greater extent than the other life forms. Well, that's my guess anyway. Then again, if that were the case, then why was the game programmed to allow human sims to interact with werewolves in that manner, even if the werewolves are in their animal state? Yet another mind-boggler for you all to contemplate.

Okay, a bit of thread necromancy on my part is about to happen here, but I just want to state that anybody who views the size of their DL folder as a status symbol is a fool. Yes, I have plenty of files in my folder, but I cull it on a regular basis and get rid of stuff I almost never use, something I would never do if I felt that the size of my DL folder was something to boast about. I certainly wouldn't look down on anybody with a sparse download folder...after all, it's your game and you play it however you want - it's just that I crave a bit more variety than what Maxis has given us.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Male Hair / Eight All Age Recolors of Peggy Zone Free Male Ponytail in All Four Colors
|

Man! I have tried numerous times to download this mesh from Peggy's site, everybody's doing recolors of it and your's are awesome but for some reason when I click to download this mesh (on Peggy's site) a new screen opens and fills up with miles of jibberish. Only this particular hair, though. It's weird. I never get the download pop-up. I had the same problem myself, and I finally succeeded in downloading it by accessing Peggy's site with Firefox instead of IE7. Maybe you should try Firefox, if you haven't already? Kaneonapua, you've done a fine job on these ponytails indeed. The textures Peggy released with that mesh just weren't up to par at all, so thanks for sharing these.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / 'pregnancy wear any outfit' with BV

I've been trying out the boolprop method, and I've had no problems with it, other than the fact that the pregnant sim's outfit often reverts back to those dowdy Maxis maternity duds once he/she steps out of the shower. It's only a really minor annoyance, which can be rectified by forcing a redress with the clothing tester object.
In other words, I can happily survive without a BV-compatible version of this hack. Well, that's my 2 cents anyhow.

Oh, people do start up threads asking when the updated Insim will be out every time a new EP is released, and apparently Eric and Kathy do get bombarded with PMs from people asking about it as well. I can only imagine how annoying it is for them...

Well, of course the Insim will be updated soon. Unless Eric and Kathy get fed up and decide to just abandon the idea altogether because of all these people pestering them to update it as soon as they can.
As for BV, I love it, what can I say? I have a slew of hacks in my game, and of course I took care to make sure they were BV-compatible before installing them. I'm using Twojeffs' Autonomous Casual Romance, a BV-compatible version which hasn't officially been released yet since it's still in its beta-testing phase, but I can't say I've had any problems with it so far. As for Inteen, I'm not sure - I normally don't use it anyway, but there probably is a beta version of that as well at the moment.
Overall, BV is a lot of fun, apart from the lags which, from what I've read, a lot of people seem to be experiencing. My new machine is a high-performance one which I've only had for just over a month, and I've read that even people with high-performance machines aren't safe from those awful lags.
