46  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / The sims 2 :( crashing. urgent. on: December 17, 2007, 09:36:33 pm
If you uninstall the base game you must uninstall the ep's too. So...uninstall ALL GAMES then reinstall. Make sure you patch the games and then try to run it...:pirate:

I'm interesting in knowing what's not allowed in sub's anymore. I haven't noticed anything missing but I have so much it's hard to keep track. If anyone has a link for this, please share.

I would like to know what I need to get rid of in my registry. I'm fairly good around it and I would delete it. If it messes up my computer it's not like I can't fix it or help someone who can't. I will NOT be buying anymore Sim games if this is how EA is going to treat it's consumers. No way!!!!!! Sorry if I wasn't supposed to post in here. This just (a lot of words I can't use here) me off.
54  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / School Bus Won't Come!!!! on: September 08, 2007, 05:49:11 pm
Take out the hack and run the game. If the bus comes, bingo. Unless you've already tried that. I too have that hack along with several others and I've never had this problem. I would try deleting you groups.cache and accessories files. You can find them in you EA Games/The Sims 2 folder in Documents, not Program Files. You should see something like this...

Try that after taking out the hack.
55  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / The Sims 2 on Windows Vista (Updated 7 Feb 2007) on: September 07, 2007, 11:44:43 pm
Your welcome. Here you go...

32 Bit Driver
64 Bit Driver

I don't know if you have a 32 bit or 64 bit so I included links to both. You need to find out which you have before downloading. So go to Control Panel>System (or Control Panel>System Maintance>System it just depends on the view you have set). You will see this....

The system type in the red area will tell you what you have. When you click the link to download the driver there are two files. One is a zip and the other is a exe. It doesn't matter which one.
56  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / inporting car from nfs to sims 2 on: September 05, 2007, 01:13:01 pm
I would post this question in 'Where can I find'. This is a help forum only. You could try searching for it here.
57  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / The Sims 2 on Windows Vista (Updated 7 Feb 2007) on: September 05, 2007, 12:45:15 pm
Go to Start>Run and type in 'dxdiag' (without the ''). A window will pop up. Select Display from the top and you will see this:

The black area will tell you the type of card you have while the red area tells you your driver info. You can do a search for drivers for that card. Could you post what type it is after you do this? Someone might have a similar card and can tell you where to get it or someone, including me can help search for it.
58  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Where's Sims2Carsource? on: September 02, 2007, 05:29:01 pm
Chill out dude. It takes time to move to a new server. Especially if your fighting with the new cancelled host to get your backups. It could be them that's making the site come back or he has to start over.

Heres the deal.

The site went from shared hosting to Dedicated hosting due to the traffic it got.

Then our host decided it had crappy support.

My old host deleted my backup without notification.

So im in the process of retrieving my backup from dedicated host we canceled but is giving me a real hard time. Ive got a new home for S2CS but all im waiting on is my backup.. Id hate to start S2CS over from scratch. but will do if need be. I'll keep in touch.

It is an Intel. I searched Intel GMA 950 Gix and it returned a page on another forum. It definately is Intel and it is your graphic card. My friend had this same problem and he just updated his graphic card and it worked. If I find the driver, I'll link you to it. What version of Vista are you using and is it 32 or 64 bit?

To find you graphics card, go to Control Panel>System. On the left side click Device Manager. When the window opens navigate to Display Adapters. Open that up and your card should be listed under there.

What type of laptop do you have? I found that Levnovo Thinkpad's come with this card.
