I can't stand [most] country music.

I also extremely dislike most Disney pop artists such as the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana. I will admit, I was once a Jonas fan myself, but back before when their lyrics had some heart in it, before Disney took them over and made them sing crap.

yeah I don't care for a lot of country either..I didn't mention it in my post though because I thought I'd be more specific.

I know what you mean I guess because I'm so tired of their self titled but I think Fly With Me (which is on their newest album) is a beautiful song...World War 3 is pretty different/not shallow sounding too.
you also have to admit that a Little Bit Longer is an inspiring song..yes it was written about diabetes but it actually can be about any struggle (Nick even said that it's for all the people who are having a hard time). it has helped me before
maybe it did not inspire you and though it is short it has as you said "some heart in it" because it has inspired others.
another song that has helped me before is Hold On, though I'm tired of their self titled I could still listen to that song sometimes when I would have a hard time.

guess it doesn't matter anyway though because the Jonas Brothers are pretty much over.

3  A Safe Haven / Quizzes / Re: What Does Your Taste In Music Say About You? on: October 11, 2010, 01:49:56 am
"Your Taste in Music Says You're Wild
Your musical tastes are intense and rebellious.
You are intelligent... but in a very unconventional way.

You are curious about the world. You love doing something new.
In fact, you enjoy taking risks and doing things most people would shy away from.

You are very physical. It's likely that you're athletic, but not into team sports.
You have the soul of an artist. Beauty and harmony are important to you. "

I guess. they certainly got the curious part right but I would really disagree with me being athletic...I'm not athletic at all.

Hey sorry it took so long to reply lol Finally another Jonas fan  YAY lol I really Like Selena and some of her music but she can't sing well. Cheesy  Do you like Demi Lovato and Twilight?

I think I top myself with replying late. darn schoolwork keeping me away from this board.

I hate Twilight with a passion. no offense...it wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't seem like it was freakin everywhere.

no I don't like Demi but I tolerate her. I will say though I quite like her show Sonny With a Chance.

Other sites can do as they wish and be as relaxed about posting etiquette as they like.

Yes but I was talking about the college website here. It's just kind of funny like I said.
I mean I would think that we needed to have good spelling and grammar in discussion questions too.

I did edit all my posts to proper capitalization though as I said (even the ones that are still here from 07)

By the way, you ever notice how the word capitalization looks like it's spelled wrong? It's bugging me right now and I don't know why.

I still want to know what Paden means by "proper words and such" because I swear I spelled nothing (and I mean nothing) wrong. This is going to be haunting me all day. Case in point, I just looked at my post AGAIN. I'll probably look at it repeatedly every hour like a maniac (oh wait I am a bit of a maniac so I suppose that doesn't matter)

I have many favorites and all of these are on my Ipod backgrounds:

"I can't brain today. I have the dumb"

"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."

"When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile."

"What's this thing you call 'normal'? Is it contagious?! OMG!! Don't touch me! I might catch your 'normal'!"

"If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place"

"Laugh your heart out
Dance in the rain
Cherish the moment
Ignore the pain
Live, Laugh, Love
Forgive & Forget
Life's too short to be
living with regrets"

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars"

"Break the rules
Stand apart
Ignore your head
Follow your heart"

"Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else"

"That which does not kill us, only makes us stronger"

"Love lights more fires than hate extinguishes"

"I want a guy who calls you
beautiful instead of hot
who calls you back
when you hang up on him
who will stay awake
just to watch you sleep.
The boy who kisses your forehead,
Who wants to show you off to the world,
Who thinks you're pretty without makeup on.
The one who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you
and how lucky he is to have you."

and the one I tried to put on my siggy but it was too big:
"We're adults. When did that happen and how do we make it stop?"

Would you mind terribly if I asked you to please use proper words, capital letters and such? I realize that with your user name being what it is, you may not even think you need to do so, but really, you do. Lazy posting habits make for grumpy admins, don't cha know?

I know what you mean about capital letters and I am used to not capitalizing because no other forums have minded (I have been on a lot of forums too. this is the internet after all and not college. actually to be honest you should see some of the people that post discussion questions for online college. sometimes they don't capitalize and they can have major typos. once in a while there has even been instructors that have typos. pretty funny if you ask me) and it takes a lot of effort to capitalize when you type fast. however I always capitalize the word "I" in my posts as well as proper names and this issue is closed since I realize that I have to capitalize every time. *sighs* Now I have to go back and edit all my posts by capitalizing to fit the posting style of this one because now the aesthetics are thrown off. I just have one question: where were you when I was not using capital letters in 07 on the old site? Apparently I didn't even capitalize the word "I" then

Other than that, proper words and such? Are you saying my spelling or grammar is off? o O I don't see anything spelled wrong and mind you I look at my posts obsessively. Were you talking about "idk"? That's a common abbreviation for the internet (it was even used in a phone commercial) and that's the only one I used (besides CC and EP but every Sims player knows those. they're official abbreviations so they don't count)

You know, if you think you have such a thing, you need to seek the help of someone trained to make that diagnosis and not assign it to yourself. Self-diagnosis is never helpful and in fact, often does more harm than good. I've know several documented OCD people and they rarely, if ever, settle for anything that is less than their idea of perfection on something. Be it washed hands, a clean room/living space, or a written/typed document, they don't and in fact cannot rest until it is absolutely perfect.

Well you know like I said I don't have the money for a doctor.

13  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: What are you currently doing (besides being here)? on: August 04, 2010, 03:40:28 am
I'm going to eat a slice of pizza and I'm debating whether I should get my shower over with or wait til later in the morning so I don't risk waking people up (I'd rather have music while I'm in the shower so yeah that doesn't help)
I'm also going to check on my town and kingdom (EDIT: aw my lettuce died and I got no notice that they were done).

14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: You know you play the Sims too much when.... Part II on: August 04, 2010, 03:35:10 am
all these are true:
when you play it all night instead of sleeping
when you forget to eat because you're too busy with your people
when you have so much CC that when you need to transfer it to your friends, you need 2 CDs and a flash (this is true for Sims 2)
when you were going to watch a show with your mom but in the middle you kept going back to the computer (this only happened once though)
when you spend several days catching up on the CC available online sometimes without much of a break. you may feel very bored during searching through all that but you can't stop because you feel you have to have it
15  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: Your most annoying relative(s)? on: August 04, 2010, 03:16:36 am
I don't have any annoying relatives really. however my mom's bf's youngest son is like the brother I never wanted. every weekend he's here it seems like he calls my name telling me something annoying/disgusting.
Oh and damn does he get cranky early sometimes. We were playing Mario Kart and he kept wanting to start over because he got a bad score. Some of those times he wouldn't even let me finish the race. He's like "it makes no sense. you're not gonna get a good score anyway. we might as well start over"
Also sometimes he locks my bedroom door and won't let me back in.
He also sits in my computer chair when I was about to get on the computer (plus I don't like him sitting there with his "brotherly" germs. I'm very particular about my chair.)

Now if you'd like to talk about ahole relatives, that would be my father. He's not annoying. He's the scum of the earth but at least I don't see him anymore. It's just difficult at times because he's on my mind a lot and won't go away. kinda fun to hate on him and sing angry songs though..I'm not the hating type at all but whenever something goes wrong I can have somebody to blame it on (I would bash myself enough in the past for things..now it can be a person that might actually deserve not so nice feelings)
