Have you read The Silver Wolf by Alice Borchardt then? Her werewolves are just like that. Yeah, and I actually didn't like it. It wasn't realistic enough for me.

Nope, the "pack leader" trait isn't passed genetically, at least not with Sarah's offspring, lol! Both babies did look like their papa, though! Heh, so trait-wise, it's a dog. But the wolf genetics, in the aesthetic sense, are stronger than a dog's.

Well I know the curse doesn't link into the genetics with the human sims.. I wonder if it does with the leader of the pack. I doubt it. With domesticated wolves, when they breed with a dog, the wolf genes are gone, and their offspring are 100% dog. That's what the Prima guide said, anyway. I imagine it's the same for the Leader of the Pack's offspring.

I've got something to add to the FAQ. Pregnant sims can't savage other sims (Didn't check males but most likely the same.) Hmmm, interesting .... There seems to be a lot of things that pregnant Sims can't do, and only about half make sense.

After being a pc tech for a number of years, I've managed to be able to understand broken english, somewhat. I believe the person is asking for a mod that makes it impossible for the werewolf thing to happen in their game. I'm assuming this person has a phobia in regards to the supernatural, if that's the case I would love to hear the reasoning behind it. I've never encountered anyone who had an issue with the supernatural in a fictional game before. Oh and I'm not being sarcastic, I'd really like to know the reasoning behind it. Then again I like to know what makes people tick. Its kinda why I like live journal and myspace . Easy enough, no mod needed. Just ignore the glowy-eyed wolf when he comes around. You can't get bitten unless you put serious effort into it. And werewolves aren't like vampires -- you're not going to see any Downtown. You want werewovles in your game? Cool. You have to make them yourself.

So much as I don't like vampires I have the same dislike to any paranormal anomaly - so it is going to be my deepest thank you for anyone that make a no were whatever wolf. I like pets - as pets - for petting. Pardon? A no were whatever wolf? You mean, to anyone who doesn't make a werewolf in their game? Why?

When I saw this screenshot on the InSIM main page, what I honestly said out loud was: "Dang." That is one big dog. I would not want that after me! Perfect for the junkyard I've been thinking about creating ... although, like most 'bad' breeds, this one looks just misunderstood.

Thanks! Heh, the first dog I made as soon as I got "Pets" was my own version of a wolf. I adopted one, and then ended up having my Sim adopt a 'real' wolf. I like mine better, the Maxis wolves are too poofy around the jaws. And your vesion's colorings are pretty. Thanks again!

I happen to like Laurell K. Hamilton's take on lycanthropes in the Anita Blake series. On full moons and for inexperienced wolves, they are full wolves during their change. If they are experienced at other times they can control their change even down to just making their hands transform into claws. AND... there are wereleopards, wererats, werelions etc so forth, which I adore. So I use Genensims lovely furry skins to make hybrid werekitties. lol.
hugs, Ar That's how I've always pictured werewolves. And, yeah, I love Hamilton's weres. Like Erica, who could actually change just the bones in her face, changing her facial structure and therefore her entire look.

I just had a long discussion on another board about the werewolf myth. Some folkore says they turned into wolves during the full moon, others say they were a mix of the two. Yes, but the wolf was the more common, as tails abound of people who think they're just hunting/being hunted, seeing, whatever a regular wolf, but it is, in fact, Aunt Mildred. These types are especially common in Germany, England, etc, where most of our folktales come from. Also, just in case you didn't know, the full moon figured in no folklore. Some said the werewolf turned at night, others when he put on a wolfskin, whatever. But the full moon didn't come into werewolf folklore until good ol' Hollywood put it in some horror flick in the 1930's, can't remember the name ...

Someone else thought the leader had mated with her dog here.
We'll have to see how that pans out. The Leader of the Pack, or another one of the wolves? People seem to get them confused ... I don't know, my sim developed an almost 100 over 100 relationship with the LotP, and the option never came up. But maybe I just overlooked it ...

So from what I've read, the leader wold is a boy? Thanks, So I can breed him with Angel! There's actually two Leaders of the Pack -- one male, one female. An alpha and his queen, if you will, of the local wolf pack. And, no, unfortunately, you can't ask him or her to have puppies with your pet. However, you can ask any of the other wolves who roam around the neighborhood, and the standard conditions apply -- your sim has to have a good relationship with the wolf, and the wolf has to have a good relationship with your pet. You can even adopt one, and the game will automatically spawn another wolf to take it's place! Like townies, one moves in, another's made.

Yeah.. he does..
Very old school werewolf like before hollywood got obsessed with CGI.... Yeah ... but I like the CGI werewolves better than the guy in the fur suit. That was always so unrealistic, and SOOO cheesy. At least with CGI they have a chance of convincing me this guy actually is part wolf ... and I'm a firm believer in the wolf werewolf. I figure, they look exactly like humans during day, why shouldn't they look exactly like wolves by night? Instead of some half-and-half mutant ... But now I'm ranting. Anyway, nice sim, love how muscular he is, great job.
