I don't use Gimp as I have Photoshop CS2, but a lot of people (including a number of people here) say that it's a good program to use. Post by: tylersada on May 29, 2007, 08:25:29 am I found Gimp cumbersome. I finally broke down and paid for paint shop pro and adobe photoshop. Adobe photoshop is pricey but paintshop pro is very adequate. I don't mesh yet so I don't know about meshing tools. So far I am trying to master recolors and textures.

Have you tried getting the trial version of Paint Shop Pro. The full version isn't cheap but the price is reachable. You could try the trial version to see if you like it before investing your money in it. I actually had paint shop pro about 6 months before I finally got Photoshop. I also have Photoshop, but haven't messed with it too much. It seems pretty similar to Paint Shop Pro, but for some reason it seems so much more intimidating to me! lol

Post by: pickpock on June 08, 2007, 02:28:57 pm I couldn't do anything without photoshop, I think you can get cheaper versions of it through the net, (e-bay, I think, for example) than in a store if you're interested.
