46  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Links to TS2&EP hacks:More Critical AL EP8 FIXES;Prima Guide;InTeen info NEW 9/01/08 on: April 02, 2008, 04:05:48 pm
I gave in and added the link to the US Site.

Sadie, TS3 looks interesting. I have no interest in Kitchen and Bath nor the Ikea add on. I am EP and add on saturated. What do you think Apartment Life can be? If it's the last EP what could it possibly add? Maybe you can have more than one kitchen and not have your neighbors cooking in your Sims'. I have no idea!

My one concern about the FT Patch is whether Maxis addressed the problem fixed by TJ's Critical Fix hack.

Oops, I checked (like the good boy I am) and found no patch at the official US Site. Makes sense, no? They haven't posted it yet here! WHY?Huh???!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the patch available on the British Site?

TA Sadie! I will check the official Site and link the patch.

Sadie, you are a Saint! I still will not link to the patch. The Engermlish transalation makes my head hurt! I would like to know why Maxis releases a patch to other Sites before adding it to their own?Huh?? That is quite annoying.

Mark, how scary is that?Huh? Sadly, I don't understand German so I will not add this patch. Also, why isn't it available yet on TS2? Annoying!

Sleepy I added the link to TJ's new Site.

I really enjoyed Jase's literate farewell to TJ and the InTEEN. It was actually quite comforting to read his thoughts. He has left us with no doubts as to the future of his involvment with all things Sims (of course, there will be some who, even having read his thoughts, will still want to know when he will update his creation to match future Sim releases...so sad they).

It is reassuring that Jase will keep the Site going for the next several months. I only hope that the InTEEN, in all its compatible forms, will remain available to all who want to let their teens wallow in sexual lust and suffer its inevitable sins (oh, rather literary on my part as well). Jen's WH Lite and Jase's magnificent InTEEN are necessary pleasures for those of us who like a bit more reality in our game.

Now I have to give serious thought to what Toni has written. Is there a future not only for the InSIMenator but for the Site that hosts it? It is so frustrating for so many of us to exist in limbo.

TA Sadie! I had such a problem D/Ling the Beta InTEEN, then, PRESTO, my system D/Led it and I have not been to Pleasantview since. RL can be so annoying!!!!!

I am a bit confused. You have all EPs with the exception of OFB and BV? Your game played well until you installed Seasons? Was this a new installation? Or have you just added FT?

The BV InSIM is backwards compatible so it should work with all EPs prior to FT. It is not compatible with FT. If you have done your research you would know that most people recommend using the OBJ edition of the InSIM for FT...but use it with caution.

As far as the InTEEN is concerned, what edition are you using? This mod is NOT backwards compatible and your MUST use the version appropriate to you installation.

As a safety I would remove all of your CC to a safe place on your PC and then install the EPs. After you install all of your EPs I would put back my CC after making certain that all hacks in your game have been certified compatible with the latest EP (FT).

It is unusual that either the InSIM or InTEEN should inhibit your game (you should really direct all InTEEN related questions to their Site as it is not supported here). Most likely it is another hack that is not compliant with FT.

Mark, thanks. You have to admit it's rather funny that the modding community already has both of these covered, and covered well. EAxis seems to be a day late and an EP short!

Oh, and rather than release new objects that are redundant maybe they should consider a patch to make TJ's Critical Fix unnecessary to gameplay!

TJ found the problem with FT immediately; Pescado found the problem with BV immediately. What's EAxis' poor excuse. Oh, wait they have no excuse; just useless additions to the game!

Sorry for being so harsh, Mark, but they deserve a lot more....and please, no one support me here as this is a hack thread and should be only devoted to new D/Ls and hack. My rant is over!

Listen to Aji! You need to remove all of your CC to a safe place on your PC and then start the game. It is definitely either a wonky mesh or an incompatible hack. You need to check for both. The only reason the game is not finishing its load is because there is something blocking it.

Now put out your hand so I can play Sister Joey and slap it with a ruler! You need to check for all hack compatibilities before enabling your CC. Check out the fillowing thread for any or all updates that you might need for your CC:

I think the best thing you could do is contact the designer at TSR and show him or her what has happened.
58  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Help my basment is flooded!! on: March 23, 2008, 01:58:33 pm
I have had the same problem and its started long before BV. Suddenly for no reason, lots that I D/Led and ones that I built with basments would have the same blue effect down below. I don't have it now. It seemed to have dried up EPs ago.

I have to newest version of the InTeen for the FT and it works very well! Hopefully there will be an update for the InSim but I think it will take a time or maybe no update! But the BV version in the FT works with some bugs, no major ones!

I must warn you, your statement "the BV version in the FT works with some bugs, no major ones!" is incorrect and misleading for the innocent that read it. This is simply not true. It has been established by many of our most respected modders that the BV InSim, if used with FT installed, could cause harmful if not irreversible damage to your game. Yes, it seems to work and many of its sections are clean but if used with aspirations it could make your Simmers implode eventually. I still use the SIM edition stubbornly (I could not play without the InSim in my game) but I am fully aware that I will only myself to blame if it unintentially harms my game.

Oh, never, NEVER use two woo hoo hacks simultaneously in your game.
60  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / is anyone finding MTS2 unusable? on: March 23, 2008, 01:44:46 pm
I think you just have to be patient. I have a fast connection and it can be quite maddening at times. If it is so slow for me I can imagine how frustrating it is for those with dial up. Credit MTS2 with being one of the most popular Sites around. If we want its content then we just have to take a number and wait patiently in line.
