Including the pets, whats the max amount of sims allowed on a lot? Would this be a mod for 9 animals and 1 sim (since the default was 10 originally?)

This allows 9 pets, I have another mod for more sims , I will have to ask Serafina about the max sims with just this mod, I can't remember she is the one who tested this so she should be able to answer your question.

Ok I tested it with 1 sim and 9 animals with the 10 max mod... and I had 2 sims and 9 pets with the 12 max mod so I am guessing you could have 3 sims and 9 pets... cannot be sure sorry!

Thanks, I believe the game counts pets & sims together for the max count if I remember right.

Wow! I can't even imagine having so many of anyone, pets or sims but faboo for the breathing space!  My Sim who has a LTW of breeding 20 kittens or puppies will be quite happy with that! Thank you Squinge for all your mod-efforts! Very appreciated!

I believe this is correct. I installed this mod hoping to adopt a stray cat that was on my lot. Previously a pop-up told i couldn't have more than 6 pets on one lot. After the mod it told me i couldn't have more than 8 family members on one lot...
Current family has: one elder, two adults, one baby, two dogs (one pregnant, i think 3 puppies) and one cat.

Hacks installed (not sure if you want this info): No friends needed, Perfect plants, college adjuster, Triplet hack, and this one. All the above hacks are said to be compatible by Twojeffs himself.

Thank you for this one! Just to let you know, on the alternate version, the text document isn`t updated so it still says the mod is for changing the default setting of pets from 6 to 9, instead of the new alternate of up to 11 sims and 10 pets =)

I am thrilled to have this in my game. One problem.. I now have Try For Kitten (five feline adults, one pregnant and one human, not pregnant) again, which made me happy, but I've had them try several times and still no jingle. Three previous matings were immediately successful. Has anyone else had a problem getting the pregnancy, or am I just hitting a bad streak in the randomness?

Well I can tell you I have had to have both pets and sims try up to 12 times before getting pregnant.

Pregnancy is random so it may take a while.

After installing morepets, I do get the option for try for puppy/kitty, but no jingle.  I had them try for more than 12 times.  BUT, my sim was able to adopt up to 8 pets.  On the 9th adoption call, it game me the warning that the house has too many pets.  

So, this hack worked for me, kinda....

Are you 2 with this problem also using my more family members mod or just this one?

I'm using both and my cat pair is having trouble getting pregnant again (6 cats now on the lot) I must have sent them to try over 15/20 times :(

ok I am going to see if there is different code for pregnant pets that this mod isn't changing.
edit: I think I may have figured out the problem.

I downloaded the MorePetsAltVer zip, it's the only thing I've gotten in to allow more of anything.

I am working on the problem & will post a new version asap.

If you already have it no if your downloading the other version then yes.

The other version didnt seem to work for me as I couldnt adopt anymore pets after 7.  

Will you post an updated/fixed version of this?  I'm sure you will, just checking.

The alternate version allows 10 pets but there is a problem with pets getting pregnant for a few people after having a certain ammount of pets in the family & I am still working on the problem.

I think its the same for the sims people cause I have 8 sims now and am trying like the dickens for a nineth and nothing.. I can't get the sim pregnant. but the try for baby option is there. I really hope this can be fixed. It would be a great mod :)

Thank you for the mod.  It seems stupid that your pets count as Sims when you can't even make them do anything without cheat codes.

I want to thank you for this mod. I have downloaded it but I seem to be having a problem. I have a family with nine sims and one dog. I tried to get her pregnant with a stray dog, but it won't let me and I can't adopt anymore either. I don't know if it's because there's nine family members or if I did something wrong. I can't seem to exceed the six pet limit in any one of my families. Thanks for the help.

We are aware of the problem and Squinge is working on it. Trust me it is being tested and worked on extensively!

no but if you use the cheat codes uintProp maxTotalSims 50 or what ever number you need it will allow that :)

This hack is just to allow more pets if you don't want more pets you don't need it.

Naw the cheat and hack aren't letting me add 2 pets to a 5 pet, 1 person household...

are you sure you typed the cheat code correctly?

hehehe....i cut and pasted what you wrote!!! I'm working around the issue at the moment....

Humm the proper way for the cheat to work would be to put these 3 lines in the startup file:
 
uintProp maxTotalSims 50
uintProp maxTotalHumans 35
uintProp maxTotalPets 15
 
Change these numbers if for some reason you need more. "TotalSims" should be the number of TotalHumans+TotalPets.

And you don't need this if you have the pets+sims mod, right?

It's up to you which ever you prefer; at the time I made this mod those cheat codes weren't known :)
