The only file that needed to be extracted to the collections folder was the one containing the WBVP collection.  The actuall texture and mesh packages needed to go in downloads.

IF I recall correctly, you'll need to use simPE to edit the materials variable in the package.  I do recall that some of the maasta mods have done this, so maybe search MTS2 for a tut on how to do that, past that I reallly have no clue.

What makes the alpha dress such a powerfull tool is being able to easily edit the dress shape without having to muck about with the mesh, tank you veddy munchkin.

that has its arms UP (you know, the clasic arms out pose?) so that I can see the hip area while I'm working!  at the moment, what with the hands on the hips they're covering the area of the body I need to adjust for a current project.

Solved.  What I needed was to use f6 to change to the arms up pose.
