16  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Do you like to ruin your sims lives? on: August 05, 2008, 09:43:15 pm

I wasn't really fond of Angela Pleasant, I like Lillith better. It seemed like Angela was the instigator of their poking/slapping/fighting sessions more often than Lillith. So I got InTeen and got Angela knocked up with twins by Dustin Broke, who's gone off to college without her and is now playing the field. She may not get to go to college because she was a foolish girl who was always antagonizing her sister.

Me too!!! Well, not exactly like you. I sent Lillith off to live with the Dreamers where her and Dirk went off to college together, graduated and got married. I think they have twins right now....I haven't played them in awhile. Angela, on the other hand, got dumped by Dustin. When I sent her off to college, she flunked out. When she came back home, I hooked her up with Don, who has done nothing but cheat on her since. She even caught him in bed with the red head Caliente (I always get them mixed up). I had Angela miscarry twice before having twin girls. I'm having history repeat itself...she's paying more attention to one twin over the other. As for Daniel and Mary Beth, I had them fall in love, Mary Beth got pregnant with twins (boy/girl). Of course, I'm having them pay more attention to the boy than the girl.

I have been know to kill NPCs and townies to create ghosts. I also don't stop my Sims from dying if they do something stupid like setting themselves on fire when playing with the trainset. I've also been know to kill Sims if they turn out ugly. The only way I don't kill Sims is by drowning....the stupid ghosts leave puddles EVERYWHERE!!!!!
17  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Hi, is it possible to placing door like this? on: August 05, 2008, 09:06:09 pm
To place them (and avoid the intersecting objects) bring up the cheat code box ctrl+shift+C and type in moveobjects on. This will allow you to place anything anywhere. The catch is that the door or the arch may not work anyway. It never hurts to try though, you can always remodel.

Nope watch this one!

Finally, finally, finally THE INFANTS HAVE SOMETHING TO DO!! IT IS ADORABLE! Watch Steve video here.

I can't seem to access that video and I even signed up for a youtube account. What do the infants finally get to do?

Oh man, don't make me want it! :sad5: What with Inteen ending with FT, the new version of SecuROM and everything else... *sigh* I'll just have to wait for the no-CD patch I suppose, can't resist an injection of magic into the mix...

I sooooo agree. I love my Inteen, but with the magic, that new stairs option, toddlers hugging. Resistance may be futile. Besides, we could always hope that they do update Inteen.:cheer:

And as for inteen, use the independent teen option with insim mixed with a teen woohoo hack...

That's a good suggestion, but one of my favorite features of Inteen is the miscarriage function. Inteen is not just about knocking up your teens, in fact, I rarely use it for that.
19  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Insanely High Poly Counts - now you KNOW what to trash! on: April 15, 2008, 05:57:21 am
I have my Sims2 game installed on two different laptops and the way they run on each is sooooo different you wouldn't even think it's the same game. I have only a handful of mods (two dozen at most) and almost no CC. My laptop is a Compaq Presario 2000. The memory and processor are good, but my video card isn't the best. I only have until Seasons installed. It runs a little choppy, depending on the lot size, decorations, number of Sims etc. My husband's computer is a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC. I have up to Bon Voyage on his and will eventually install FreeTime. Things run so much better on his computer, but oh well.

One reason I don't plan on ever playing Sims 3 because I just don't have the means (or inclination) to go and buy a new laptop to play it. I know my computer won't be able to handle it and even hubby's might not.
20  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / kids crying over parents kiss?? on: February 13, 2008, 12:37:03 am
This is weird. I read this thread but didn't respond because it had never happened to me. The very next time I played Sims, it happened! Using InSim, I had the maid for the Pleasants move into their house, get pregnant by Daniel, then move out on her own. I moved in a new boyfriend for her when her son was a toddler, so the son and boyfriend had a friendly relationship. But when the son turned into a child and they kissed he would bawl. I've played other houses in similiar situations, hasn't happened anywhere else yet.
21  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / First Free Time information on: December 10, 2007, 07:07:52 am
I can't wait! It looks like so much fun, especially all the new stuff for the toddlers! I also like that you get new aspirations. I will be waiting for at least a month after it comes out to install it. I still haven't even purchased BV yet because of all the bugs that were reported with it. It'll be hard waiting though!!!!!! *whine*
22  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Were did you get your sim names from? on: September 25, 2007, 05:27:05 am
The phone book is my main source for surnames. Just open it up and look for something unique. I too, use two Baby Name books. In some neighborhoods though, I'll use names from books (I have several characters from Pride and Prejudice in one neighborhood) and another is stocked with Star Wars names.
23  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Brandi Broke? on: September 25, 2007, 05:21:54 am
I got Brandi to have a girl (two as a matter of fact) after she had her third boy. I forgot who I married her off too....it was some random Townie Sim. I haven't played her lot in ages.
24  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Why r Sims so stupid ? on: June 27, 2007, 06:19:34 pm
Quote from: caffeinated.joy;779455
I'm sure my neighbors are making "she's crazy" gestures to each other because I'm always screaming "Leave the damn baby alone!" At my computer. (I have no kids) LMAO

:laughing::laughing:

My husband used to give me crazy looks when I would do that too. I still occasionally yell at the computer screen, but he's learned to ignore me now.
25  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Why r Sims so stupid ? on: June 17, 2007, 05:55:11 am
I want to know why nannies insist on getting bottles out of the fridge until they actually hand it to the toddler. Apparently putting it on the floor is not good enough for nannies. I've had several get up to three bottles for a toddler, even though the toddler has started sucking on the first one the nanny laid down.

Squinge came up with a hack that stopped Sims most annoying habit (IMO). I couldn't get my adults/teens to do anything but hold the dang baby. They kept going into the baby's room, picking it up, feeding it, playing with it or just standing there with it in their arms. Poor child couldn't get any rest. I had to lock the door to keep them out.
26  Resident Creators / EP5 Mods / Orchard Trees don't go Dormant in Greenhouse on: May 30, 2007, 11:39:53 pm
Thank you so much! I got so ticked when my fruit trees went dormant after building a huge greenhouse for them.
27  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / The Ottomas Dilemma on: May 30, 2007, 11:32:01 pm
LOL, that was a bug? I thought it was part of the game. I have the Ottomas family in play in 5 of the 6 neighborhoods I have. Only in one did I change the "father's" ID to Peter using the InSim reproductive adjustor. The rest I left as is. It's been pretty interesting. The one time I changed the ID to Peter, I ended up with twin boys, the rest of the twins have been boy/girl.
28  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / What would you like to see In Sims3 on: May 26, 2007, 03:56:32 pm

1. More options for baby.
Two things that I would love to see! Why can't a child hold a baby? Why can't they talk to a baby laying on the floor or in a crib?

And I totally agree with the not needing so many friends to get a promotion. I always need to use a cheat because it's impossible to have 13 friends plus keep up with everything else in your household in order to get a promotion.
29  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / GHOSTS during the day time???? on: May 22, 2007, 01:47:54 pm
Yes I have seen ghosts change into outerwear! Dora Ottomas did it after she died. I thought it was the oddest thing.

Here's my wierd ghost tale. I killed a child using the InSim mod and when she came back as a ghost, she did housework. She cleaned my tub, cleaned my toliet and took out the garbage. She might have done more, but I only stopped to watch her when I saw her cleaning the toliet.
