1171  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What action or Animation you hate the most in sims2? on: January 29, 2009, 01:45:36 am
When people keep complaining about in-game animations and mechanics Pescado has already worked for and provides the whole community fixes for these very stuff, then his comment is NOT uncalled for.

So perhaps it might be as Heartless said: they all complain about stuff deep inside they are crazy about. Something like, love to hate you?

As for me, I hate the new animation that came with AL. I just want to kill them every time they do that.

It's a love to hate animation thread... and (with all due repect to Pescado)  the reason MATY stays relatively free of "twelveness."

Just reading the threads you can tell which players are new and which aren't.  Since there are those who have only recently played or had time for the sims, what's old news to some is a novelty for others &/or still just as fresh and enjoyable or nervewrackingly funny, or irritating as hell.

Pescado has conquered these things true.  But take heart many don't have a clue who he is or what he does.  This is a home for simmers old and new.   We gladly vent about the stuff you are long bored with here at InSim because it's a relatively jerk-free non-rude zone to do it in.

And we owe that all to you El Presidente.  Cheesy

or did you want all of this on your lawn too?     Evil  hehehe

1173  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: So Sad and Angry on: January 28, 2009, 07:24:04 pm
I hope you listen Lula because no one intends to anger you ...only help.

So think with us for a moment, ok?  He understood that you might be pregnant and if he knows that and has been down this road with you before then he probably knows about other symptoms too.   While that might scare him it does you as well.  Chances are he will not get better and more loving as the pregnancy continues.  Hard as these economic times are he has no business directing his anger at you or your unborn child.

The decisions you make for yourself can destroy a chance at a great life and happiness for both you and your child.  I have only the best wishes for you, but if you think you feel sad now wait until you see the same look on that tiny face in response to his anger.

No I am not male... but I have to tell you the idea that "most men" behave or think like him is not so.  His anger issues may sadly be like those of way too many others but Lula, angry uncontrolled people male or female, are the exceptions--not the rule.

I like to have a "men are knuckleheads" moments now and then but this is not a playful "he gets on my nerves" thing~ it's too important & if we didn't care we'd never have answered your post.

Life is too short to waste a single moment unhappy (though we often do).  Take care ok?

Could the thread below be moved to this section please?

I believe it was better meant for this thread than the area where it resides lost in career requests.  I have no desire to spam in clutter-free territory so could you please lock this (or delete it and move the thread below here?).

Other people posted in it so I didn't want to just have the one below deleted altogether.  Solely because it seems that it would be more suitable for this area.

1182  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: The Dumbest Thing You Said or Did on: January 27, 2009, 02:00:59 am
hmm well... when I was in HS I changed schools & in the new one there was this huge body buildr/bodyguard-looking dude that everyone sad hi to but nobody really knew. He didn't talk much but when he walked by people automatically parted for him, gave up chairs...never sat in his seat or got in his way.  I thought it was like some trippy afterschool special or teen movie so it was a bit odd to me though I never really paid much attention to him.

anyhoo....I had a really horrible morning one day, ya know- woke up late, missed the bus, forgot my umbrella in torrential rain, car splashed me, fell in a HUGE puddle, tore my jeans...

So you can imagine I was not in a great mood. every thing went fine till 2 period when I came in and sat my books down and left to wring out my hair and clothes as I had raced into my first class late.  I came in and headed for my seat and for some reason Mr. Wonderful decided to forsake his normal location and pick on me.

He strode past me grabbed my stack of books and tossed them onto a chair in the front row and slammed his books down glaring at me. Apparently he decided I'd had that seat long enough.  Without even thinking I slid past him (whole class watching now...lol) picked up his books and unceremoniously tossed them clean to the other side of the classroom, the entire class gasped audibly & one girl said "OMG!"  you could have heard a pin drop.

Looking (2ft up btw) him in the eye I went back to my books all together in the chair he dropped them in and going back plunked them on my original desk, straightened my sopping wet self and, looking him square in the eye, silently dared him to touch them...roflol.  he so could have crushed me lol.

To everyones' surprise he laughed heartily and said "I like her..." and beckoned for the person next to me to move--which they did and gave him his books to boot.  He dubbed me the "Quiet Storm," and from then on people parted when I came down the halls...which was hysterical to me.

Oh, and he and I became best friends, lol.  Turns out he was just as studious as me.  He just went with how people reacted to him cause it kept people from annoying him.   Ahh well never judge a book...

Still other then walking into the mens room by mistake & then being too embarrassed to leave (another highpoint in dumbness), this seemed pretty dumb to me.

These happend by accident.  Some months ago I took picks of a few (celebrity) sims to show a friend how good they looked, lol.  I made the Wills twins (both made using a cc Orlando bloom Sim *pant, pant*) and moved them in with two good friends. Until I saw this thread ... then I happened to laugh when I came across them again.  They look like "Lordy she drones on & on..."
