Title: making a skintone out of clothing
Post by: jjsmith on February 09, 2007, 12:43:30 pm
hi, i was wondering, since your so good at body meshing, if you could make some skintones to go with Sshodan's skintight mesh; http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=207986 (http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=207986)
or if you could tell me how to. i already asked the creator if they would add skins to it and they said no :sad5:. i just think it's annoying having my sims walk around all day with one body only for it to disappear once they jump in the shower :sad3:.

Hmm, well making a skintone out of it wouldn't be all that difficult, you just import it into Milkshape and make a Top and Bottom mesh out of it, then map a skintone to them the way Marvine details in her tutorial.  However it's really something the mesh creator should take on, mostly because (s)he will have all the work files already, but also because of mesh modification permissions and all that.  I've recently tried reworking someone else's mesh for a request, and got caught in this quagmire of getting permission that has pretty much made a bunch of work a waste of time, so I don't think I'll be going that route again anytime soon... I have enough of my own ideas to play with anyway :D
