1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / hi on: June 20, 2008, 01:20:27 pm
i'd like to personally express my thanks for this building, i have decided that when the new expansion- apartment life comes out i want to be fully prepared for it.
i feel that this would make a great complex and with a few personal touchs in the way of deco i can see me playing for ages.
going to landscape too ,
off i go
thanks again.

eagerly awaiting more of this type of buildings.
2  Simmers' Paradise / FreeTime Help / hi on: March 08, 2008, 11:04:56 am
could these spaces be the locations for the special lots ie hobby clubs?
this may explain why you are unable to place lots on them!
i haven't placed many new lots in the new neighbourhood but i think that you have to take into consideration that the clubs are there and are hidden so it is possible that the locations are these clubs.
just my opinion though so if its not right sorry!
3  Simmers' Paradise / FreeTime Help / help is here on: March 02, 2008, 10:04:33 am
you can get delphys organiser or a similar tool from MTS2 and other locations. my advice is to get rid of any downloads you don't really use.  Some hacks/mods are hidden and they can interfere with the game , i know this because it happened to me too.
Have patiences as if you have a lot of files in your dlds folder it will take time.start with hacks then walls because you might have quite a lot like i did, objects next.
move any you want into another folder and try the game . you can always add them back later or wait for a updated one.

good luck
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / what i did on: March 02, 2008, 09:52:41 am
hi guys i had a similar problem, i couldn't get ft to run so i deleted cache files which let me load the game.
I thought i had cracked it because i was able to load neighbourhoods, create a new family. However when it came to loading said family everything seamed to be fine until it loaded but wouldn't leave the family screen. There was someone leaving a preasent at my door who kept flashing up in a little window but i had no access to the actual game play.

So..
I restarted my computer and looked for help.
I located delphys organiser at mts2 along with various other tools and then proceded to move hacks and mod which i believed to conflict to a new folder. what i also did was get rid of any files that i didn't use which took a while as i had over 32000 of them. It was well worth it a) i can now play completely
b) downloads file is a  lot lighter
Hopefully this will help you, be patient with the tools you can find out where they all are on Sims2Wiki

6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / hopefully this helps on: October 26, 2006, 08:16:28 am
I had the same problem with my pets sinking into the ground, not being able to control sims, plus not being able to use the create family screen properly. When the game loads it tells you what custom items and mods conflict with the game's behaviours  using sims2pack clean installer i went through to see if these custom content + mod files were highlighted in red (conflict) and deleted files that i didn't really use or that were empty. By doing this i was not only able to use create family option properly but my pets are running around firmly on the ground and my sims are controllable again.

if you don't have the clean installer i would recommend getting it from modthesims2 it really is a great thing to have.
