When the sims 2 were anounced... What was it like? I guess you thought the sims were better, but when did you decide that you wanted to buy them and that they were better? Did you like the new information being released or did you keep ranting the way we do now?
When Sims2 first came out, I'd only been playing Sims 1 for a year, and what I saw of Sims 2 (as Maxis-only stuff) I wasn't impressed. So I ignored Sims 2 and kept playing Sims 1. About 2 years later, I was bored with Sims 1 so I started looking around the nets to see what was available for Sims 2, CC-wise, and I was amazed. That's when I knew it was time to switch from 1 to 2. I don't expect that to happen with Sims 3. It doesn't look any better than Sims 2, and there's still some question if we'll even have CC for 3. I have never bought a Sims game/EP/FP because I wanted MAXIS content - I've only ever bought them so I could play with the custom content I'd seen that required them. I wish EA would learn that, know it, live it. |

To YANFRForm: You can always answer without your answer being wrong because its just an opinion. (I'm not pressuring you to answer, just saying...  ) I appreciate the thought! However, I try to respond only with accurate information because I'm trying to be part of the solution, not part of the problem! |

Hmm... No one answered... I still don't know so I'm still asking. I didn't answer because I'm not sure I have the right answer, but from reading what BeosBoxBoy said in his blog about EA, then you're correct, and they didn't want us to make cc in Sims2. Will TS3 have EPs too? Oh, I'm quite sure it will, if the past is any indicator of the future... University/House Party, Open for Business/Livin' Large, Nightlife/Hot Date, Pets/Unleashed, Bon Voyage/Vacation, Seasons/Making Magic, Free Time, Teen Style Stuff, Family Fun Pack, Glamour Life Stuff, Celebration Stuff, Etc.... |

work out bugs Oh, please, warn people before you're going to say things like that. At the thought of EA working out bugs BEFORE they ship the games, I laughed until I nearly choked. |

I read that e-mail/newsletter, too, and it looks like EA is going to finally get their wish of keeping cc creators out of their "business." At least that's the way I read it.
I hope I'm wrong. Then again, I'm also starting to think seriously about what BeosBoxBoy has said about retiring from creating Sims stuff the day Sims3 hits the shelves.
What good will it be if you can change the sims shoes, if we can't have shoes by Bloom, Gothplague, Al, and others? I have never, in Sims 1 or 2 seen a single pair of attractive shoes made by EA. Oh, but I could instantly change my house to have a coordinated room with crappy EA wallpaper? No thanks.
