1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Dogs / Azawakh on: February 25, 2007, 02:06:56 pm
The Azawakh is a Mali native with a tendancy to guard. It used to be that a group of these dogs would sleep on the straw roofs of their family, and when some dangerous animal would come up the others would soon join. They'd form a pack around the animal and scare it off, or sometimes kill it. It's an alert breed which can reach speeds of 37 mph(or 60 km/h). They're also independent.
2  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Dogs / Cane Corso on: February 25, 2007, 01:52:33 pm
The Cane Corso is a Mastiff at heart. It doesn't have the many folds of skin some classic Mastiffs have though. The date of orgin: 1600s. It was first use for cattle droving and now is used as a companion and as security. It has a tendency of being aggressive towards people it doesn't know, but with good training, love, and careful socialization, it makes a great companion. It's very intelligent and needs regular exercise.

Sorry, I thought  I took a picture of it, but apparently I didn't...sorry, but the preview picture is pretty good at what the dog looks like
3  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Dogs / Kooikerhondje on: February 24, 2007, 02:38:36 am
The Kooikerhondje is native to the Netherlands. The date of origin is somewhere in the 1700s. This dog was made for bird hunting and retrieving, being good at enticing ducks. Now it can be used to trap ducks so they can be banded for further research. After World War II there were only twenty-five of these beauties left. These twenty-five and their offspring are responsible for making sure there are at least five hundred puppies born every year. Because it's not much to go by, they tend to have defects inherited throughout the generations, but these dogs are friendly, even-tempered dogs that make great companions.

This is the same deal with my Lundehund. I didn't get a picture, I promise my future animals will have pictures and I'm hoping to be making a lot more breeds too. Hopefully in time some cats will be on the way too. Kooikerhondjes are beautiful and really I couldn't do justice to them on The Sims 2. So, sorry kooikerhondjes!

The Lundehund is a dog native to Norway and was said to originate in the 1500s. The Lundehund was not recognized as a distinct breed of dog till 1943. The lundehund is a peculiar dog because it has five toes on it's two front paws instead of four. In the past it was used for Puffin hunting now it is a very good, though rather energetic companion.

Yes, I know the picture isn't that good, but I forgot to take a picture of it. They have very good pictures of real Lundehunds online though, and they're absolutely gorgeous dogs and I hope you'll like my recreation.
