46  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Beach Coastal Lot 3 on: October 17, 2007, 11:53:33 pm
Well really, it's not a coastal lot, but I use it on my cliffs close to the ocean coast. It works well in Bluewater District neighborhood, because the basement is built higher, but can be place in any neighborhood you chose. It was inspired by a lot at Locoplus, a site with sims lots.  I needed a little more room than that lot has so I did it over, my style for my type of gameplay.

Lot size: 2X3
Cost: 105,600 simoleons
Amenities: 3beds, 3baths attached, slope, garage, recreation area in basement, open plan living room, dining room, kitchen, wood deck, landscaped and furnished. The second bedroom was not furnished, but can be used for a nursery and child's room.  Currently, my sim family have an infant and toddler in that room.

A little lot I built for a knowledge sims couple, with 1 child and 1 toddler. Also I wanted to use a different color for lots that are placed by the ocean. I like coral. Not recommended for Bluewater District, the basement will flood. I used Patul's San Tropez neighborhood @ http://www.modthesims2.com.

Lot: 2X2
Cost: about 75,000 simoleons
2beds (can added another in the basement if the family grows), 2.5 baths, livingroom and study area, eat-in kitchen, utility room, attached garage for one car, pond, landscaped and fully furnished.

49  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / I have two issues to discuss... on: October 01, 2007, 10:58:37 am
I have been playing BV for awhile and have 2 issues to bring to the community. First, I loved building beach lots before BV, ( lots with neighborhood water flooding in to look like coastal lots- Bluewater District), but since installing BV, the neighborhood water doesn't flood the lots anymore, I guess the have configured the coast lines to match up with ocean lots.  I wonder if anyone else have noticed that?

Second, I am wondering if this is a glitch or I have to play a different way for having wedding ceremonies in BV.  Before, when you have a wedding with a townie or NPC, you invite them over get married, either by ceremony (arch) or just propose it in your underwear, Tongue and then they become selectable.  I had a sim to invite their love interest on vacation and both wanted to get married. I figured on vacation would be the best place, mind you, the invited guest was not controllable.  They married and the spouse still wasn't controllable, so I figured when they go home, the spouse would come home with her.  This was not the case, and I waited to see if maybe he would come after his work, still no spouse.  I had to invite him over and ask to move in, then he was a part of the household. Weird, my poor sim was gonna be without her spouse, if I hadn't thought to do that. LOL.

Just thought I would throw these finds out there for discussion. Smiley
50  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / 20 Palm Tree Road Starter Lot under 20k on: September 30, 2007, 12:19:10 pm
I am rebuilding my beach sub-neighborhood, it has a Florida appeal and weather, but I noticed that I didn't  have a proper beach starter home. I thought it was cute and wanted to share it.

Lot: 1X3
Cost: 19,949 simoleons, sim is only left with 51 simoleons, so you may want to sell something if your sim needs more money. LOL! Hey cut down the little useless room on the top.

2beds, 1.5 baths, open plan livingroom, kitchen, dining area. Marvine's circular stairs to the second floor, light and breezy paint inside and out. (as you see, I love white) Comes with all items needed to get skills for a job. Landscaped and furnished with some custom content. On street parking. Suggest you use an invisable driveway to get the best visuals. I can't find it in the package. Here's a link: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=90875

51  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / I wonder how room cost is calculated? on: September 22, 2007, 06:47:50 am
I have build several hotels and motels in my game and I wondered how rooms cost calculated? I built some scruffy motels for 3 lakes and the room cost was still kinda high, like 500 to 600 simoleons a piece.  I don't have a guide and wondered if anyone has a link to that information or may have a few pointers to help me lower the cost for my college sims to go on vacation. Thanks for any help I can get.  I don't want to cheat but I use Monique's Bank Computer, for a loan so my sims have debts.  I just don't want them to have too large a debt by the time they graduate. Just the way I play. LOL Cheesy

Oops, forgot to ask. How can I get some of my custom made beds in the community lots? I can't use them to make my rooms cheaper.
52  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / Greenlake Cabin Resort on: September 21, 2007, 11:56:52 pm
I am really impressed with the building of the hotels and cabin resorts in Three Lakes vacation neighborhood.  Blau Hills is really beautiful, but too large for my slow computer to handle. So I built this smaller cabin resort for my simmies to enjoy and I can enjoy it without all the lag.

This resort boasts 2 honeymoon suites, 1 lower priced and 1 more of a suite with a private hottub that is the envy of the other tourist in this humble resort. The sims I had test this lot, didn't have the funds for the larger honeymoon suite and kept wanting to use the hottub, until another tourist checked in that room and the hottub was invisible. LOL! There's a family cabin suite and 2 other rooms sharing one cabin.  The main building has the flapjacks cook and cappucino stand for the cool days in the mountains. Included, a game area, sitting area with fireplace and hotsprings bath surrounded by the most beautiful greenery preserved by the locals.  The environment score stays elevated outdoors.  Lastly a babbling brook for fishing.

Lot: 3X4
4 simoleon price range with rooms costing 670 - 1190 simoleons

54  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / An uploaded lot crashes people who downloads game! on: September 17, 2007, 04:43:10 pm
Hello everyone.  I am at my wits end on why a file I uploaded for an ocean lot residential is crashing in downloaders game.  I really hate that. I have never had problems with any of my other lots crashing, and am perplexed with this one.  The post link is: http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?p=939852#post939852.  Do anyone have ideas, or can help me pinpoint the problem?  Thank you!
55  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Anyone else experiencing this?? on: September 16, 2007, 06:03:15 am
My pregnant sims that practice Tai Chi, when finished spin into nude, then when they realize they are naked, spin into underwear. Sometimes, if the sim is outgoing, they walk around naked for a time.  Just icks me out when I see someone prepare food or eat naked, not that I have seen alot of that. Tongue
I don't use any maternity wear hacks of hacked dressers, the only hack I have that may affect pregnancy is ACR by twojeffs and have the updated version.  I wondered it this was a glitch?:smt120

57  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / Downtown Lot: A Cheater's Inn on: September 11, 2007, 03:00:21 am
Just built a hotel, that's meant for downtown. A great place for cheaters to meet have a secret date, and when things get romantic, check in a room for more privacy.  Bon Voyage just gave my romance sims a great way to get their aspirations filled. I play-tested it with 2 of my romance sims and they both left the lot in platinum. LOL!

2X2 Lot, 3 rooms, 2 star rating, cost between 560 to 570 simoleons per night.

Nestled in the heart of downtown

Accommodations are cozy and stylish,

59  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Share pics of your favorite rooms decorated on: July 12, 2007, 12:36:58 pm
I was going thru the posts and didn't see anything with sharing rooms that are decorated in the style that simmers play.  I love looking at room decorations and maybe I could get new tips on decor and where to find the coolest items to make a room come alive.  I thought I would start with The Broke household nursery, it is the coolest room in the house.  I will post more pics later, since it is time for me to go to work.

60  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / City Lot with Alley 3 on: May 26, 2007, 05:59:51 am
The next lot in a series of downtown living.  As I said before, I loved mstybl95 city lots with alley parking and decided to build more for my neighborhood.  I asked her about my sharing them and she agreed, so here is another one.  I use these and her lots.

This house is sort of a revamp of an older house.  I love the old wood shingle siding.  I am into house architecture.
Built on a 2X2 lot, 3beds, 3 baths, livingroom diningroom combo, kitchen, and basement. Fully furnished and landscaped. Alley parking. Cost about 95,400 simoleons.

Custom Content Included:
