1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Collections... on: July 02, 2008, 06:18:16 pm

I don't think it would be a good idea. It's part of the game/system.

You might be doing more harm that good.

Ok, then is there a way to reorganize them so they are not before all my custom collections?
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Collections... on: July 02, 2008, 05:54:22 pm
I am in the process of making new collections out of all my custom content.  My question is, I NEVER use any oe the pre-made maxis collections.  If I was do delete them, would it delete all of the items that are included in them?  I just dont want to have to skim thru 50 different maxis collections to get to my new ones, lol.

4  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / 3d Vehicle Mesh question,, on: June 06, 2008, 04:00:56 pm
I've seen all the sites that have car mesh's for other games such as nfs and gta. I know these can be converted to work as vehicles in the sims 2 but, would there be a way to make them into stationary objects like sculptures? There are quite a few that I'd like to put in my game but just as props, not functioning vehicles. For example, I have a multi level parking garage but, cant add cars on the upper level, I have dealerships but I can only place vehicles in driveways or driveway extensions. So, anyone know a tutorial to turn a 3d car model into a statue? Thanks in advance!

8  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Bugatti Veyron, Stealth Edition on: June 04, 2008, 10:01:56 am
This is a re-colour of Maximum Spiders Bugatti Veyron.

I call it the Stealth Edition due to the black on black paint, smoked tail lights and black interior.

A big thianks to Maximum Spider for the original mesh!

9  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Taking in game pics of new recolours... on: June 04, 2008, 08:43:06 am
I just did a TON of recolours of some small items like iPods and hand held games.  When I tried to take some photos of them in game to use when I put them for upload, I could not zoom close enough to get a good photo.  Can anyone help me out on this?  Sorry if this is in the wrong area.

I think they look great!

Good work.

Is that one car orange or red?

If it's orange, I'd love to have a red one

Its kinda between orange and red.  Was going for the burnt orange color that Pontiac uses.  Thanks for the reply! Smiley
12  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / 3 Recolour's Of F-P's Audi R8 on: May 28, 2008, 06:02:27 am
Here are 3 recolours of Fresh-Princes Audi R8.  You will need the mesh from http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=279267 for these to work in your game.  I'm posting these here because MTS2 rejected them because "they need more work and less saturation", whatever that means.  I made them this way becasue I like how they look Smiley  Hope you like them as well.

All credit goes to Fresh-Prince for another great car mesh!

For some reason I can't uninstall, either from the Change/Remove Programs list or from the EA Games files on the Start menu. Can I manually remove the files? Also, could the problem be caused by overheating? I know that can cause it. If so, how can I fix this?

there is a program (free program) called ccleaner that you can use to uninstall the games.  You can also use it to clean out any registry entried they left behind before you re-install.  Do a search on yahoo or google for it Smiley  I dont know if over heating would cause that specific problem.  When my PC used to overheat, it would lock the entire system up, not just one program.  But I'm no expert in that area.  Hope this helps a bit!
