76  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Fat, plastic looking sims 3...? Missing something? on: May 11, 2009, 05:49:08 am
I think Maxis is not part of the deal anymore. Please correct me if I am wrong, but to my understanding from the little I have read EA and only EA is responsible for the development of TS3.
"Maxis" as an independent entity has not existed since well before TS1. There is no Maxis, there is only Zuul.

I refuse to be stuck with EA defaults. Unless things change, there is no bloody way I'll buy TS3. As I have said already, I do like the new trait system, but I have no use of it if it is about a Sim with EA skins.
If SKINS are your only concern, they are not a realistic one, since even games that lack any ability to load custom textures at all can have the texture overridden in graphic memory by texture replacement programs.

Why not just make it conjure the Death by Flies instead?
78  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Re: Always Perfect Enviromental Scores? on: May 03, 2009, 07:15:09 pm
It is not really possible to directly modify the environment score, but it can be made so that sims simply do not care about the environment for better or worse, making the environment bar vestigial.

The available evidence suggests that this will continue to be the case and the exchange will work more or less in the same annoying manner it did before.
80  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Good news about the sims 3 on: May 01, 2009, 06:02:40 pm
The main thing that is keeping me interested in it is that the sims will actually take care of themselves.
They said that same bullshit for TS2, too. We all know that wasn't TRUE. In fact, they were saying this in TS3 at the same time their sims were peeing on the floor...so, yeah, I call USDA Grade A BS.

Second. I think there's an EAxis mesh in AL that is a good starting base.

83  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Who's going to get the The Sims 3? on: March 15, 2009, 03:24:18 am
I dunno, gripefest? I'm personally thinking that if this is true, it's time to break out the Mariachi band.

85  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Sim 3 Bodyshapes on: March 14, 2009, 09:30:13 pm
There are *TWO* body sliders. No, you can't adjust the parts independently to get your various Warlokk shapes. Sorry.
86  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: InSiminator Mod for Sims3 on: March 14, 2009, 09:25:39 pm
Depending on what you define as "Adult mods", quite possibly.
87  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: InSiminator Mod for Sims3 on: March 14, 2009, 07:02:02 pm
We're so used to your ability to break things and put them together better that for you to tell us this is a hint that the game is going to be virtually impossible to mod for at all, even at your level of expertise.
All the inside sources indicate that EAxis has seriously cracked down on the actual moddability of the game. While surface-level texture replacement and remeshing will easily be possible, making actual SERIOUS modifications is looking considerably more crippled. The kind of easy stuff that we have gotten used to in TS2 simply will not be possible in TS3. It are a fact. I know because of my learnings.
88  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: InSiminator Mod for Sims3 on: March 14, 2009, 02:10:49 pm
Based on the information available, an Insimenator-type mod is looking like it will be extremely unlikely or impossible in TS3, so I wouldn't get too excited.
89  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What action or Animation you hate the most in sims2? on: March 12, 2009, 01:16:23 am
The other thing I hate is how whiny my sims are...I love them, but damn, they complain and cry over everything........
Less Whiny + Don't Wave At Me.

Truly, an awe-inspiring example of mad floodfill skillz.
