1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Small or large houses? on: March 26, 2008, 07:51:38 am
I like comfortable houses most of all, the size doesn't matter too much but I never play huge houses. I guess I prefer small to medium sized buildings. And I do not zoom the game a lot. I usually have it zoomed out so i can see the whole house and area in front of it, so I don't have to move the camera to see my sims. But I do use 3 floors sometimes in my houses.

Regarding personality traits, I have a feeling I will end up with only 2-3 combinations that will not annoy me. The idea looks good, but knowing EA I expect them to make any sim who's daredevil try to kill themselves every 2 minutes, and any neat sim try to clean everything they see every half a minute...So, I'm quite sceptical about new personalities. But still I hope EA will nicely surprise me.

if the need to take care of the sims needs like we do now..eat, sleep..ect...won't be necessary cuz all u would have to do is click on the feed popup and they are fed and the need is satisfied....why would you go to the grocery store and buy ingredients to make food or grow your own? and if this applies to the other needs bathroom sleep, hygiene you would have alot of money cuz you wouldn't have to buy any of that stuff...

From what I understand, you will have to purchase everything anyway, it's just that you will not have to click on the objects themselves, or constantly look at the needs bars, because the game itself will tell you when your sims is hungry. You will have to click on the pop-up to make them go use fridge, bath, etc.

All I can say is that if the final version of the game will look the way it looks on screenshots now, I will be very disappointed. I think it should be embarassing for the EA that it's gamers create better content than its designers. One would think the EA would be inspired by looking at the custom content and would at least try to beat that, but instead they seem to make content that looks even worse than in Sims 2.

Maybe its too early to judje, but looking at EA-made hair, skins, eyes, objects and clothes in Sims 3 screenshots makes me shudder. Developers, please understand that after the vast amount of amazing stuff made by community for Sims 2, your weak attempt to make Sims 3 look new and attractive fails. You should aim higher now.

15  Resident Creators / EP5 Mods / No Autonomous Water Balloon Fight on: March 30, 2007, 06:10:28 am
Yeah, i have the same problem. They don't have the water balloon fight, but they keep throwing the balloons occasionally at different sims. I guess thats  because of some other hacks I have. I hate this so much, i can't even run the business now, because all the customers end up throwing water balloons at each other, which eventually leads to fights and business goes down.
I appreciate your effort though. At least someone thought of making smth to fix it. I'll see if it works without other hacks installed.
