Well, Beosboxboy at least has issues with that, and he barely recovered enough to help me with the recolours... But if I'm to make the whole family, I didn't have a choice. The animations aren't perfect, it took me ages to figure out an acceptable compromise, but once more I reached the limits of the existing tools. It still looks good in game though, here's a link to a crappy small video: http://rapidshare.de/files/8627763/movie001.rar.htmlYou're welcome to recolour - I also uploaded the uv-map - as usual don't redistribute the mesh! Thank you for your support - I'm sorry that I don't know that much people in the modding community, else I'd push everybody on that thread...
If Wes_H was able to complete his plugins, I truly think that no other tool could compete with them - they're already the best in terms of freedom of creation. And he also could use a little incentive from meshers, developing these plugins take a lot of time and effort and I don't think he gets much feedback about them.
I intend to post my next worK (if I succeed) also on MTS2, along with a speech about this, hoping it will gather more attention...

Retired Creators / Merfolk Project:Le Peuple de la Mer / Merman - buff version, teen through elder

Thank you for the comments, it means a lot to me that you appreciate different stuff! Mmahair, I still have to make specific skintones to link a nude mesh - or beg Beosboxboy to help me with that -, the regular ones are a little disturbing with that bodyshape - and I really need to forget how it looks with the hairiest skintones... :puke:

UPDATE 30-12-2006: enabled for teen through elder. So, here's the adult male, with 4 textures mostly made by Beosboxboy; the rar file includes the mesh and the recolours. The mesh is included in the RAR. The mesh may not be redistributed without permission. Please link back to this thread for the mesh and give credit. Recolours may be posted on any site; however because of the nature of Maxis exchange you may not use this mesh for any Sim you upload to Maxis Sims 2 Exchange. Pictures featuring Adian the, erm, punk biker by Kavar, and I also used Kavar's bunny ears mesh. Because I could. Oh, and the skintones are Beosboxboy's, and the tattoos also by Kavar. Download a video clip of the animations: http://rapidshare.de/files/8490925/mermen_dancing.rarNote: the video is slowed down a little to give a clearer view of the animations. If you have any interest in body meshing and Wes_h's Body Chop plugins, read Wes_h's post on MTS2, and maybe add your 2 cents on the Chumbalum forums (link on the post)!Until a more complete version of Mikshape is released, this is the best hope for solving some very frustrating issues with these plugins, which are until now limited by Milkshape's own limitations - and still manage to be the best available tool for creative meshing in my opinion.
