Title: Something stuck in the oven?
Post by: simshady on May 04, 2008, 03:12:38 pm
Anyone ever had a problem like this?

I had a guy trying to make some dinner for his family (so considerate) when a fire started.  Instead of the usual situation, he appeared to be in the middle of it, so I was afraid he was going to burn to death.  I paused it for a second, X'ed out the little "Fire!" icon, and told him to get the heck away so the fireman could do his job.  In the end, aside from massive hygiene and energy loss, he ended up okay.

Problem is though, the food is still in there and no one (not even him) will get it out so they can toss it, eat it, whatever, and eventually make something else.  I click the oven and the option appears, but when I select it it instantly disappears and they do nothing.  I can't delete the oven 'with something in it or on it' so am I stuck with a permanently smoldering meal in the kitchen, doomed to a future of ordering pizzas?

Have you tried to delete it while using the cheat move_objects on?
