Title: Babies Post by: Datblkricanboi on October 30, 2011, 02:10:33 pm I was just wondering If there is a mod or something that allows you to change a babies skintone permanently because I have downloaded loads of skintones and made them all work as default skins but I hate how my sim babies always come out with random skintones.
Title: Re: Babies Post by: Paden on October 31, 2011, 02:11:46 pm Not sure about a mod but surely you must realize that genetics will have their way in descent and coloration of the skin of various offspring?
Title: Re: Babies Post by: Theraven on October 31, 2011, 04:12:07 pm Genetisized/townified skins will do that. Theh only way to change it permanently, is to de-genetisize/townifiy the skins (current babies and older sims won't change skins, but at least the newborns will have the correct skins).
After having a genetisized skinset that bugged the hell out of me (showing up randomly on babies with default-skin parents), I gave up the entire thing and de-genetisized the entire set. If you want to have things under control, that's the best way. You can change skins with SimPE, but it's a big job. Skintone changers is an option, but I'm not sure if they're truly permanent and/or genetic. Title: Re: Babies Post by: Theraven on November 01, 2011, 11:23:06 am Sorry... SimPE is the "know what you're doing, take backups, and don't be afraid to break things" way.

(Also I would love if there is a way to fix the skintone of one of my main family's kids. He was randomly born with a custom skintone. :( ) |
