sorry for not replying sooner, thats a great idea, wouldn't have dared ask to do that, and no we sell nothing lol terrible salespeople, we are all about sharing ideas and good times.  Hard to get the word out to people.  with my pc being brand new and the operating system itself being new to me (window7) I'm constantly losing time figuring out how much its not an xp lol.  thanks again  Cheers and Regards

Thanks for the permission, as for the ventrilo, that was a hard one for me to explain.  I'm trying to say registerred members at our site have free access to use it, and wanted to extend the welcome to everyone here to come register and use it.  Without sounding like an ad., I really just like to share! The whole more the merrier kinda thing.  We're a multigame based site still in production, in the baby stages (more like fetal) and if nothing else I thought I'd see if anyone here was interested in having a nuetral place to 'livechat' idea's and whatnot.  Especially for some people out there who can have a picture by picture instruction manual and still not comprehend how to run their game/mod/program or what have you.  I've had my fair share of those moments lol.  No biggee though, anyone interested is more than welcome, those not are just as welcome not to lol.  Thanks caffeinated.joy.  Cheers!

I'm going to try and explain this to the best of my abilities.  Just to clarify I have no problems with this site or it's members quite the contrary.  All I'm asking is if anyone would mind if mentioned your site at my own website(not a hotlink), also while I have no intention of putting my website in any posts inside your server, I would like to offer you a new idea, that I can offer to those who like the idea.  Its ventrilo, we have a 50man public server we offer to our members.  For those unaware what ventrilo is, its a live talk program thats as good as sitting in a room together to shoot the breeze.  And since this site has been one of my first downloading frenzied affairs, I wanted to offer what I can back.  If any of you are interested just check out my profile for my info or pm me!  If not I completely understand and still support your site to fellow gamers.  Cheers

304  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What is the most surprising thing that your Sims have ever done? on: June 02, 2010, 03:43:23 pm
actually vegasblack, thats more than creepy, somebody needs to call a priest and excorcise your sims2, mod or no mods, floating babies lookig for coupons in the mail?  Twin brothers one reduced to infancy despite his size lol, thats just craziness.
We've only had one weird thing happen to our families (we meaning me + my husband) his one of 7 groupies became stagnant after being brought back to life after being struck down by a satelite waiting for her ride to work.  As if someone turned off her free will she would just stand there and unque any actions unless manually given the command, the only thing that fixed her was getting her pregnant.

Peter Steele died?  What a bummer, I was 18 when I first heard of them, first album to make me feel funny when I listenned to it.  I feel your pain also Daspecial1 my fallback simming pc started beeping just last week, too terrified to turn it back on.  Still waiting on my new pc, arrival date this Tuesday.
306  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: New PC coming next week on: May 06, 2010, 05:03:42 pm
Ok final update on the 'new pc' debacle. (I love that word)  It would seem neither of our newly orderred pc's have a graphics card worth a dime.  Meaning for the games we play and have just recently purchased.  I continued to research whats the best bang for our buck and was happy to settle for the cheaper ati radeon 5770.  Once my husband started researching (we were up till 6 looking thru these cards lol) He wasn't satisfied with that either, and orderred the 5850, a bit of an overkill in my opinion for the price.  I'll be using his duel 5570's until we can afford to pick up a second one.  I don't even begin to pretend I know a fraction about pc's and their components, so I'm just going to be Happy like my name implies and be grateful for having a pc , one out my now 3 that wont make beeping sounds or scream and shutoff on its own.  Thanks for everyone's help, and caffeinated.joy for her patience, I really don't try to be troublesome it just kinda happens naturally for me.
307  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: New PC coming next week on: May 06, 2010, 03:20:32 pm
are you kidding me about the card??? now let me check and make sure I didnt copy paste the info/#'s down right (also caffeinated.joy-I tried to type it all into the page but for some odd reason it kept acting like I had ran out of space, so sorry yet again)  ok I rechecked the spec.s it would seem either my husband is trying to pull a fast one on me cuz his new pc is ordered with >>

which is what I SHOULD have had on my order.  Hopefully this is a mistake on his end and not something he was hoping I wouldnt notice.  Thank you for the feedback or I may never have noticed.  Ok I just researched the card he bought me, it would seem he wants me to throw him out of the house.  thanks for the heads up.
308  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / New PC coming next week on: May 05, 2010, 10:38:20 pm
Ok here's the scoop, I am currently awaiting a deliverry of a new pc, here are the new spec.'s.  *again I am not trying to brag, I didn't pick this out for myself, my husband did
ok here's my stupid question, and I'm fully aware the probabilities of recieving stupid answers.  I have all stuff's packs and expansions for sims2 (no want or curiousity towards ts3) and presently have downloaded somewhere around 8gig's of cc awaiting the new pc's arrival (only half of which I have already tested on my husbands old pc) aside from the obvious of how do i keep it organized because thats a headache inside itself, will I ever have to worry about having too much cc with these specifications.  My husband claims I won't have to worry.  Any criticism, advice, insight would help me understand what I should expect and due to keep my game running smoothly.

Currently I'm waiting on my new pc, which will make all my sims2 dreams come true, no more limitting myself to 2gigs of cc!! Anyone curious about the specs ask because thats alot of typing to do without prompting.  But I will be more than happy to brag about, not that there isn't tons of you with great machines, I'm just so excited because my old pc couldn't even run seasons, so finally, my sims will see their first christmas, their first raindrop, give me a second I'm getting emotional.....

thats what I thought after reading 13 pages of the lotexpander and googling it this last week.  what a dream killer for me, can't you just imagine the joy of something say 12x8.  BUT if there ever comes a day that EA or some random mad programmer figures it out, don't leave me out of the loop!  Much respect and gratitude.

Consider it done Decaff...I mean Caffeinated.Joy, the 2nd day without coffee I had to put sheets over the curtains and hide under my blankets with a coma/migraine state.  Good times.  Now I'm just bumping into things and saying, ooooh yea alot.

Cheers again got another pot brewing   Coffee2
312  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Looking for more!! on: May 03, 2010, 06:04:44 pm
hooo that might work thanks again Caffeinated.Joy, I wonder if anyone can upload a lot with the 'pre-enlarged' edit and have the game recognize it without having the program.  I've got some researching to do yet again.  Btw Caffeinated.Joy, my quitting coffee lasted a whole 2 days, I buy the 1/2 caffeine kind now.  So now I'm only 1/2 as smart as I think I am.

Cheers Coffee2
313  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Looking for more!! on: May 03, 2010, 05:43:38 pm
ok I've searched the forums, and came across an ancient thread talking about increasing lot sizes, this is something me and my husband were looking for now the past couple monthes.  Not because we have a household of 4 dozen mind you, both of us have a preference of living on a large acred if not square miled estate consisting of mostly woodland, ponds and streams.  Now I have all ep's and sp's, so obviously the unreliable mod they have at MTS2 isn't for me.  But if anyone knows of a way please let us know.  I have a new pc on the way that won't hesitate to run sims2 10x's over (bragging!) so if system requirements make increasing lots so 'iffy', we've got that covered.  Any feedback or help on how to make this a reality in any way would be supremely appreciated!

314  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Sims2 on Windows 7? on: May 03, 2010, 12:50:53 pm
Now I'm not a computer tech by any standard, BUT , I do know that Windows 7 professional comes with an xp mode.  Meaning any xp formats can be ran on it.  Its a nice little feature, that isn't that much more expensive.  (atleast not where we found it)  We (my husband and I) are waiting on 2 new pc's as I speak, after 7yrs it was time for an update.  So anyone concerned about installing any sims 2 game or older pc games might want to look into the Windows 7 professional package, just incase *like Vista, you find a few issues.  If I'm incorrect in this please let me know, I'm quoting my husbands research on this.
