1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Benton Place: A Beach House on: January 28, 2008, 03:57:02 am
I based this on the house in North Carolina my family and I rent when we go to the beach.  It's pretty awesome so I thought I'd share it.  I left it unfurnished because mine will have a lot of custom content from who knows where by the time I'm done, but I'll post a pic so ya'll can see what it looks like furnished.

Getting the sand dune to look right in relationship to the house was a pain in the butt that required some cheats, so mess with the basement in build mode at your own risk.  This was built on a machine that has all expansions and stuff packs except Pets and H&M.

This is the house from the "back," the side that faces the road.  Good sized porch and a piece of wall to put an outdoor shower on underneath.

Basement/garage

Floorplan of the Basement/garage.  The first and second rooms are bedrooms/entertainment areas in the actual house.  The two rooms in back are a laundry room and bathroom.

Main floor from back.

Floorplan of the main floor.  Enter through the kitchen, living room has an awesome view of the ocean.  4 bedrooms, 2 on each side of the living room/kitchen with a bathroom in between.  The little spaces at the end of the bathrooms are meant to be closets for the bedrooms, in case that's not obvious.  I've left the bedroom windows small, even on the ocean side, because that's the way they are on the real house.  I for one will be going to put in big floor to ceiling windows out of my CC collection as soon as I get this posted. ^^

Here's the link to pictures of the house this was based on... it doesn't like Mozilla, so try opening it in an IE window.

Some pictures of what it looks like after I decorated it.

2  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / My very first upload: Asian themed House on: September 24, 2007, 01:04:15 am
I've always wanted to build an Asian themed house for my Sims, but had a hard time tracking down stuff I thought looked good together.  Now, with the release of Bon Voyage, I decided not only would I just go for it, but that I was also going to upload whatever the result was.  So here it is.

Please don't make too much fun of me if I screw up the whole uploading thing, otherwise enjoy the house!

The house

Floor Plan, 2nd floor

Walkway that wraps around the roof of the kitchen, master bedroom with ensuite (I've set the "bathrooms" up to be bathroom and toilet room just to clear up any confusion), hall bathroom, 3 (bed)rooms off the hallway.

View of 2nd floor from the back

Floor Plan, 1st floor

The roof you see in the middle of the walkways is the kitchen in my decorated version.  You have the main room where the stairs are, a dining room, and a tatami mat room.  The little building on the right is a sauna and has a massage table in it.  It lets out into the fenced in yard with the hot spring.

House from the back

Stuff that I didn't mention in the floor plans... that's a 4 car garage with room for exercise equipment and a drum set or what have you.  There's one of each fruit tree along the garage, and of course the greenhouse in the back.  The Zen garden is up front in the corner made by the fence at the entrance.  There's a small paved area around the tree with some benches to sit on between the garden and the door into the garage.

This is going to be a house for your rich Sims (or the ones that don't mind going majorly into debt to live here).  It's around 151K and some change unfurnished.

I have all the EPs except Pets on the machine I built this on, just for information purposes.

Thanks!  I hope everyone likes it.
