Title: Kooikerhondje Post by: vvchan on February 24, 2007, 02:38:36 am The Kooikerhondje is native to the Netherlands. The date of origin is somewhere in the 1700s. This dog was made for bird hunting and retrieving, being good at enticing ducks. Now it can be used to trap ducks so they can be banded for further research. After World War II there were only twenty-five of these beauties left. These twenty-five and their offspring are responsible for making sure there are at least five hundred puppies born every year. Because it's not much to go by, they tend to have defects inherited throughout the generations, but these dogs are friendly, even-tempered dogs that make great companions.
This is the same deal with my Lundehund. I didn't get a picture, I promise my future animals will have pictures and I'm hoping to be making a lot more breeds too. Hopefully in time some cats will be on the way too. Kooikerhondjes are beautiful and really I couldn't do justice to them on The Sims 2. So, sorry kooikerhondjes!
