Hello.  I have FreeTime though I have not installed it yet.  I got it from Wal-Mart, but I think I like the GameStop bonus item more than Wal-Mart's.  I am not going to install FreeTime until I have my own free time to play it on March 6th.  Are we allowed to trade codes here?  I know we are not at sims2.com so I figured I would pop in here and find out.

Oh, the reason I haven't returned my game to Wal-Mart and just gone to GameStop is because I had a Wal-Mart gift card and I really don't like spending $30 on an EP if I can avoid it.

thanks.  i thought i went through every object the insim gave us.  i never thought about looking at the chair.  i thought it was just for random things like electronics.

there is a cheat and i don't remember if it came with the insimenator or boolprop enabletestingcheats on (i think that's how it's spelled).  what it did was unlock all of the vacation memory icons.  i am pretty sure it was with insimenator.  if some one could tell me how to find it again i would be very thankful.  thanks~

hi, i got an external hard drive so that i can 1.) have more space and 2.) go back and forth with my PC and laptop.  i don't have Sims installed to my laptop because i didn't want it to take up the space.  i want the Sims on my new hard drive but i don't want any of the custom content or anything on it.  i don't have my laptop with me right now so what i was trying to do was install Sims 2 to the new HD through the PC.  i don't think i can though because i put in disc 1 of the base game and it said to put in Seasons instead.  i have never had an external HD before and the thing didn't come with instructions.

can someone help me out please, pretty please.    thanks

i am thinking about uninstalling and just reinstalling on my PC then making a copy of the file from my PC HD to this new external one.  if i were to make a folder on  my desktop and put all my custom content that i like and want on my PC and then uninstall would it delete that folder as well.  i am thinking it won't.  what if i packaged my favorite lots to a file and then uninstall, would it then delete that stuff?  or would it just delete the files following the specific trail to the Sims 2 folder?

Okay, what i wanted to do was build a house boat that looked fairly decent.  After awhile and some brilliant ideas, i realized some of my brilliant ideas were not that great for a residential lot.  i didn't know i couldn't have my own restaurant at home.  i tried to do it as best as i can.  i had my Sim make several single plates.  Bill, the Sim, has all his skills and badges thanks to the fine folks here.  he should also have $9,999,998.  i think i did okay on it.  i made sure there are flowers out front for purchase so if a male Sim forgets to buy flowers for his date, well there some are.  guy Sims can hang out, out front while getting hair cuts or women can get hair styles.  Sims can buy pre-made food and dine on-spot or buy fish.  people can lounge or play a relaxing game of chess on the star-board.  Sims can paint at the front of the boat on deck or roast marshmallows in back. i don't know what else to say about it as far as that goes.

i tried really hard not to use custom content but apparently i did anyway.  i didn't want to disable custom content while i was building because i wanted to use the InSimenator while getting things established.  i took a picture of what the Sims2 website said was custom content.  thing is, looking at the list, i still can't tell what i used that was wrong/custom content.

i can't remember what to hold down to get 1/4 of a tile.  does anyone know right off hand?  thanks

oh, answered my own question.  my sim doesn't like the marbled flooring.  weird.

i can't make sense of this one room.  it is an at home business.  i know i can't make a restaurant an at home business but i make my sim make single plates anyway to sell as part of his business.  i have tables for people to sit at if they want.  i have 7 items that have an environment score of 10, the lights are 3.  i don't get it.  my sim says he has an environment store of about 2.  he can go everywhere else on the lot and have a score of 8 or 9.  is there something obviously wrong in the room that you folks can see?

you folks are geniuses.  i can't figure out how to do anything.
