Title: Upper cabinets crash game
Post by: Matt's Workshop on March 30, 2007, 04:29:28 pm
For ages I've been trying to make some upper cabinets for kitchens to match all the lower counters as a request. I managed to make some. I've attached a picture of them. I can get them to work on walls, no problems, and the Sims use the lower counters still, but when I try using them in a corner, the game crashes. I did make a corner bit as well. There must be something that I'm doing drastically wrong, and if anyone can help me, I'd be grateful ta. I've kept them as a counter file. Is it better to make them as a decorative item? If so, how do I add the textures from these to those? If there's a tutorial, does anyone have a link? Ta.

What are you using as a base object for the original clone?  You should have used a painting.  I would have used the Art Deco poster, since it has a glass element.

If you look at the known good cabinets at WellDressedSims you will probably have better luck.

I was using the Cabanoga counter, which with hindsight, probably wasn't a good idea as the Sims would probably try and use it! Oops! I'll use the Art Deco painting then, and change it to a decorative object. I'll go and have a visit at WellDressedSims too. Cheers mate! :D

*edit 06/APR 22:05* Cor what! Ta Yakov! I've just had a look at that site. Very impressive! :D I don't need to make any now! This thread can be closed or deleted now, thanks. Matt.
