Title: This Jared Leto sim
Post by: darkannie on November 29, 2010, 09:28:24 am
*Hotlink removed by staff*

I used to have this sim, but I lost all of my sims stuff and I've been trying to find him again.  I thought I downloaded him off this forum, but that was back when it was still insimenator.net.  Anyway, I've searched all over.  If anyone remembers where the original download is, or if you have him yourself, or at least know who created him, that would be wonderful!

Reading stickies is good for you. Especially the ones posted on almost every page of the forum. Please do not hotlink (http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,106060.0.html).

Yeah, but I didn't hotlink the picture.  It was on a website.  I was linking the website it was posted to.

The link you provided was a direct link to the image, not the site; hence, it was a hotlink.

no it wasn't.  I had linked the webpage it was on, because I had the webpage bookmarked.

What's always best to do, is just save the pic to your computer and upload it to a photo site like Photobucket or Tinypic and simply copy and paste to the image code to a post ;)

It's the best way to avoid hotlinking :)

I didn't hotlink the picture.  The URL was of the webpage that the picture was on.  It was on sims2files, picture of the day.  It was a still from a sim video of From Yesterday, and even though a ton of people asked about the sim, there is no link to follow to download him.  I posted the webpage with the image in the hopes that someone would know what I'm talking about.  Why would I go through the added trouble of finding the direct url to the image when I could just paste the url to the page it's on?

Then why, when I checked the link, did it go directly to the image and not the website it was hosted on?

Let's just agree to disagree, and move on.

...or else. *smirks*

Anyways, is  this the picture (http://thesims2.filefront.com/potd/77071) in question?

Yes, that was it alright. So you're looking for THAT sim, or do you just want to find a Jared Leto?

darkannie, don't argue with staff. Joy knows the difference between a hotlink and a hyperlink. Admit that you were wrong, stop taking shots at the staff and move the hell on. Doing otherwise could get you moved the hell out.
