I miss the dance cage from the original Sims.  I loved that dance cage and the way they copped serious attitude whenever they'd dance in it.  It never failed to crack me up. I hope they bring that back into Sims 3.

I could go crazy with a nice country EP. Inner tubing in the snow, down the streams, small waterfalls. Community get togethers with square dancing for the adults, bobbing for apples, pin the tail on the donkey, three legged races for the children. Water tanks for swimming in. Summer camps for the children to get to know the other children in the community with activities. Wheat and corn fields. Real community picnics. The wives getting together to can vegetables and sell them at a little wayside vegetable stand. Or gathering fruit to do the same. Like I said rodeo's, fairs, churning butter, milking cows, gathering eggs. Working pantries. Cutting firewood for the winter...I could go on and on Smiley
48  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Spirituality of The Sims on: April 28, 2008, 08:01:37 pm
Someone else had an idea for this I thought was wonderful, it was family prayer at the dining table, just clasping their hands together in unity. Then I had read something about charities. Taking food to seniors, passing out food to the homeless. Clothing donation centers, things like that. I thought all these things were awesome. To me, seeing to the spiritual part of our being incorporates how we treat one another just as much as it does as to which church we go too; how we pray.

I think as a whole with a few exceptions like Hindu, Buddist, Wiccan, etc we all believe in one God. I sometimes look around and wonder why is it when so many of us have the same fundamental beliefs in one God is it that were so differing in our beliefs? I always return to the same thing, Religious Leaders. I think about the lost scrolls and "For I have given them the keys to the kingdom of heaven, they've chosen not to enter, nor to allow others to enter." I'd be all for a unity type of prayer. Or gathering for unity in the community. I don't know if I'd buy a bunch of SP's for different religions; although I think it would be interesting.

Oh yeah zoo animals! Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My! Oh, I want a giraffe, a monkey. How about some Kangaroo? Oh we need some Orca and some shark, seals, dolphins in our oceans. Piers that go out into the ocean we can fish off. We need some cherry trees, peach trees...how about also some flowering trees like Magnolias. Lilacs? I could run a farming zoo, and where is the cotton candy(ok I already have that) The ice cream trucks for the kids to chase after. The yummy carmel apples to get all sticky off of then chase your siblings around and grab screaming I'm stuck to you. Wink (Ok yes I was a very weird child, we also used to have contests and get our butts spanked over and over for who could make the most toliet paper stick to the ceiling. We would wet it and throw it up at the ceiling whoever got the most to stick in the biggest wad was the winner. lol When you have 9 children amusing themselves with this game I guess it creates a bit of a mess.)Oh we could also churn butter to sell. Can vegetables. Another bright idea, how about a working pantry? To store food in that doesn't need to be refrigerated.

PS Katy has beehives on the graveyard I have that I harvest their honey to sell, you have to be careful though because your sims can get stung by them.

I'll second it. Raising farm animals, riding horses although I already have a riding horse. Maybe raising sheep to shear and sell their wool. Milking cows. Collecting eggs, etc...Auctions, fairs, rodeos.

54  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / BODYSHOP can someone please tell me what's wrong with mine? on: April 25, 2008, 04:54:08 am
Go directly into the sims game in my documents.
C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2
Delete the accessory.cache The groups.cach and the cigen.cache
Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Thumbnails
Just delete the whole bunch
That will rebuild all your stuff.

But a lot of it also looks like your missing some meshes. That blue there in the first pic of this last SS means you don't have the mesh to that scarf. I can't see what else she's wearing because they're all ghosts. lol

This is considered Warez and it is against the rules of this forum to even ask for something like this. You could get banned... hopefully you'll just get nagged if one of the mods sees this since your new.

Vista just plain "S" If your going to put your money into a new PC or laptop  with that type of OS you might as well spend a couple hundred more and get a MAC. Much better graphics, and better data management. Leave behind the blob that is Windows.

You can also try deleting the Cigen.cache file. Then reloading. Usually when BS acts up, that's the first thing I do. That's right in the main folder. But I also try to delete all thumbs and cache files once a month.
59  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Installing Sims Games on: April 23, 2008, 01:19:47 pm
I just read your list, I guess I lucked out and did install them in the correct order! I thought University came after NL and OFB, but apparently I did it right. Wink I know I did it right after those because I pre-ordered things as they were coming out.
60  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Hey everyone I need some help on: April 23, 2008, 12:48:04 am
She speaks English quite well, I belong to her Yahoo group. If you talking about the blue Maui set you first have to download the green set because those are the meshes. I have no idea what baby set your talking about. There is no baby set there, just a Blue Rocking horse in a misc set. Delft. You have to download Delft 1 and 2 to get the meshes they're part of the same set. None of her free stuff requires anything from the pay stuff to work she doesn't do that. Just like for the Hotel Havanna if you want the recolor part you have to download the freepart of the Havanna set because those are the meshes. She also posts a lot of things on her group that she doesn't post on the website. I have never donated to her yet, and have all her free stuff. It all works. I use the Maui set quite a bit. Although I prefer the green set. From both the site and her groups. To get her downloads you have to click on the picture then click on the picture again.

Please don't spread malicious gossip about her, it's totally untrue that you have to download pay items to use the free items.
