91  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Sims 2 eyes from generation to generation on: October 11, 2013, 09:23:49 am
I'm jealous of the first situation.  I deliberately make CAS "parents" with recessive traits like light blue eyes and red hair, then "breed" them in BodyShop to create the Sim I'm actually going to play to give recessive variety to their kids.  As far as I know, brown and dark blue eyes are both dominant to light blue (and custom is dominant to everything else), and Sims created in CAS are homozygous (have 2 identical copies of the expressed gene) unless you use my trick.

Do you have, accidentally or on purpose, the hack that makes all Maxis eyes equally dominant?  You still shouldn't have got eyes that don't match either parent, but it would be a partial explanation.

Another silly question: are your light blue eyes custom (rather than default) and not geneticized?

Rather than going through all the trouble of actually having babies, you can try different combos in CAS using the pacifier.  It's slightly different from the game, especially in face mixing, but it should give you some idea what's going on with the eyes!

I don't have any mods for equal dominance in eyes, and all I have is Maxis genetics. The mother was a redhead with dark blue eyes and the father was black-haired with brown eyes. She was s1 and he was s2 and they had a daughter with s1, red hair and light blue eyes. The second couple, the mother was blond, s1 with light blue eyes and the father was s1 with dark blue eyes and blond hair. Their son was s1, blond and brown eyed. The couples I used were all founders, so no previous generations incorporated that into the gene pool.

I was playing one of my families, and I was surprised. The first family I made a husband and wife in CAS and had them try for baby. The mother has dark blue eyes and the dad has brown, yet their daughter was born with light blue.  huh So, I tried another family. It was a woman with light blue eyes with a few kids and she tried for baby with her boyfriend. She was also the founder of her family, as was her boyfriend- who had dark blue, and they had a brown-eyed son. Is this typical game behavior? I don't have any cc so it's just Maxis skins and eyes.
93  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIG: Nurse babies for EP8? on: October 09, 2013, 03:40:59 pm
Leefish has one: http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/thread-1247.html

CH at BAS has a new version an add-on. Not linking, because... well, it's not in the Family Friendly area, and they're back to one site. It uses Squinge's mod, apparently. It adds a relationship boost and a cuddle animation at the end.
Leefish's mod is perfect, thank you theraven.  Cheesy

I've look through Squinge's EP8 mod lists and I did find the original mod but it was only up to OFB. I remember there being such a mod, but I might be wrong. Please help & thanks.

Lips Sealed Ah, you would be right, Raven. I mixed it up, despite only having Puddings for a month last year. Thank you. I also found out that if you take off the glitching glasses, save appearance, and then put them on again the problem remedies itself, although it is tedious.
97  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Reflections on: September 25, 2013, 10:54:01 am
I remember there was an option in game that you could change reflections. I accidentally clicked "mirrors and super water" & now I don't know how to get there to edit it so that my Sim's glasses  won't have "mirror syndrome" as Raven put it. Please help??  huh
98  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Employees faces change to face one when assigning uniform? on: September 23, 2013, 04:38:23 pm
"Assigning uniform" as in using a mod that enables this option? If you use the clothing mod from MATY this seems to be the norm (if it happens only when dressing them up and they have their regular face after), but if you use a regular EAxis dresser, or their face stay as face 1 when you've dressed them up, then the problem looks worse.
My entire hood is vanilla, and even when I had cc this still happened.
I don't have any mods.

I think the problem may be my mirror settings. I'm going to go in game and change them and see if this fixes the problem, 'cuz that glitch is creepy as heck.  Explode Thanks, Raven.  YAY

It looks like this, and I'm not sure why. I play with Maxis, no cc.

I've been googling for awhile, and I see that other simmers are having this issue. There doesn't seem to be a fix, can anyone help?
103  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF: Sims 2 laundry basket website on: September 06, 2013, 01:48:40 pm
The reason its so hard to find, is because the original website is down (of course.) The first link that Dullahan provided is the correct one to access the new site- http://s9.zetaboards.com/LDPictures/topic/50972/1/

It requires registering to download (I think, since the first page says something about being limited...)

Don't forget to try googling your WCIFs before you post them... I simply searched "sims 2 Laundry Basket website" and it was probably the fifth thing down on the list.  Wink

I did google it but it didn't look like what I remembered, so I dismissed it.

I have a contribution, I promise!
I have this item made by Chris Hatch, it's a little red figure that lets you mark the age of your Sims (like adult or teen) and then easily switch it back without having to mess with the Sim's actual body. It's called "The Sim go anywhere model".
105  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / How to woohoo in closets? on: September 02, 2013, 11:12:52 am
I built my own closets in my Sims home, but there isn't the typical closet door, I have to put my own. There's no usual option to "try for baby" or "woohoo". Am I building it wrong?
